Transmission cooler lines leaking at crimp between hard and soft hose on the pressure line. 55,000 miles on the vehicle. Low grade leak that was coating transmission and leaving oil behind on the ground. Leak occurred anytime that the engine was running. Not covered by warranty because it is not considered a mechanical issue under the powertrain warranty provisions.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer several times because it drastically reduced speed without warning. The rpms increased at a high rate of speed. The dealer replaced the torque converter on the first visit. During the second visit, the dealer replaced the bearing along with the transmission assembly. The contact noticed that a noise progressed shortly after the repair and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The dealer was unable to replicate and diagnose the failure. The contact was waiting for a response from the manufacturer to determine if they could provide a repair solution to the dealer to prevent the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

To whom it may concern; tipm (totally integrated power module) problem, faulty fuel pump related, pumping after turning the vehicle off and draining battery and starting problems related faulty fuel pump and stall vehicle. I found Chrysler Corp has recall and class action for faulty fuel pump and tipm problem covered by ext warranty ( 5year upto 70,000 mile) only for upto 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan not for 2013 model, I have been contact to the Dodge/Chrysler dealer in honolulu, hi, said it's not cover. Only up to 36,000 mile basic warranty. So I have to pay $1,200 part plus labor. They recall over 500,000 vehicles Jeep, durango and Caravan please verify and confirm for that's not cover for 2013 vehicle. I had a problem when 49,600 mile my vehicle mileage is 50,300 now I have been researched internet and now I am using bypass cable (www.verticalvisions.com/tipm_solutions.php) now have no problem with using temporary with bypass cable but due to the safety mechanisms I have to fix tipm. Please help this problem with manufacture Chrysler/Dodge. Thank you.

On September 25, 2015, the battery light came on while travelling from Canada to usa at night time with my wife and two young children. Because I carry a vehicle scanner with me, I pulled over at a rest stop and checked the voltage sense pid. It showed 12.5V. Thought that was acceptable and continued driving. Aproximately 400 miles later, vehicle exhibited sudden loss of momentum while in cruise control at 72mph, as I pressed on the accelarator, vehicle downshifted and rpms rose to 4500, however vehicle slowed even more and I had to take evasive action to get to right shoulder. Vehicle went from approx 72mph in cruise control to 40mph in a matter of few seconds while I was trying to accelarate to safely get vehicle from left lane on I-495 S to right shoulder. I again plugged in my scanner and had code P0622 show up. At this time, control module voltage sense was reading 11V. After erasing the code and multiple ignition key cycling attempts, the vehicle started up, and everything seemed fine, battery light went out and voltage was again at 12.5 V, and climbing. We made it to our destination (taunton, MA) and everything seemed normal over the course of the weekend. On September 28, while we were travelling back to Canada, within 40 miles of leaving taunton, the battery light came on again, but very shortly after the vehicle lost power again, and had to scramble to get vehicle pulled over to the shoulder of the highway (I-495 N). And is unable to restart. I called fca road side assistance, and they sent a tow truck. The vehicle is currently at dan's Dodge Chrysler Jeep in westboro, MA, usa awaiting diagnostic.

When I bought my vehicle it was okay then when I started driving it more and more I decided that I wanted to stop I felt like it was going to accelerate and stop on its own and it fell as if it was driving by itself I took it back to the dealership and they said there's no problem with it that's the way the vehicle was manufactured but it felt as if it was changing gears on its own and it is a minivan with no stick so I was figuring that there is something really wrong with it after readingthe reviews I come to the configuration that I am not the only one dealing with the same problem I've had the vehicle now for over a year and feel the same issue and the vehicle I started to make weird noises underneath the hood and I'm not sure what it is it is still covered under manufacturer warranty but I'm not too sure for how much longer or if I could even pick up the cost if it was to break down I am terribly disappointed in my purchase and will not buya Dodge again totally disappointed.

2013 Dodge Caravan. Consumer writes in regards to transmission problems. A few days after the vehicle was purchased, the consumer heard a noise coming from the transmission, while driving in economy mode. Also, the engine was changing into a faster gear while trying to drive in normal gear. The consumer returned the vehicle to the dealer on 2 separate occasions. The mechanics stated there was nothing wrong. The vehicle continued to act abnormal, with the gears changing to a faster gear, when it wasn't initiated. When the consumer left the dealer and turned onto a busy street, the van appeared to leave driving gear, with the motor racing and would not move until the engine was turned off and back into drive gear again. The consumer returned to the repair shop again, only to be told his wife did not know how to drive. The consumer stated the transmission would slip out of gear, but no one could duplicate the problem. On 2 occasions, while the cruise control was set, the vehicle went to passing gear for no reason. It also happened when the vehicle was not set on cruise control. A year later, the problems continued. The vehicle accelerated on its own, the vehicle slowed down to 25 mph, the consumer had to push the accelerator to the floor, before it would change speed using the passing gear.

My 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan was purchased new during Feb. Of 2013. Shortly after the purchase of this vehicle I noticed that the transmission was slipping. The transmission then started to go into manual mode for no reason. I have also been driving and the van loses all power to the front wheels. All of the problems listed happen intermittently. During the first four trips to multiple Dodge dealerships they stated they could not reproduce the problem and no errors were showing up in the computer. When the next incident occurred I video taped it. On the fifth trip to the Dodge dealership they agreed there was a problem after reviewing the video. The dealership again worked on my van but they could not find the problem. The dealership did change the shifter to see if that would take care of the issue. It didn't. the van now has 11000 miles on it and I have been forced to file under the lemon laws because Chrysler has failed to take care of the problem.

The day I picked up this new 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan SE/avp (6-8-13) I noticed a noise upon deceleration, just before stopping; and also when on a neighborhood street and going 15 to 20 mph. As best I can describe it, it sounds like a turkey call coming from the area in front of the driver. If car is shifted into neutral the noise stops. Drove car for 500 miles hoping noise would stop, then brought it to dealer. Dealer calls it a "flutter" call it what you want, they checked everything over under the hood and could not find anything. They said they would refer it to Chrysler. I filed a complaint with Chrysler. Since the first time, car has been back to dealer two more times. Last time Chrysler told them to replace the throttle body. This did not work. So now they are just guessing. I asked Chrysler to send a factory man to check it out, they said they can't do that, they have to work with the dealer. I've asked them for a "loner" car but they refused saying my car is still drivable. Dealer says they can do nothing more until they hear from Chrysler. I bought this van to take things to Virginia this summer and to Florida this winter. I have no confidence in it for a long trip. I cancelled my Virginia trip and lost a night's deposit on a hotel room. I asked them to take the car back and give me another one, and of course they said no. This is probably going to end up via the lemon law in court.
