My vehicle is apart of the T36 recall for faulty alternators; my alternator died last Friday while I was driving it on the road, I was able to get to a safe place before it actually died, but due to there being no "genuine parts" available I am stuck paying for a rental. I am active duty air force stationed in england, and the garage on base can order a new alternator and install it, but I have been told by the mopar certified garage off base that since the part is not a genuine part then I am unable to receive a reimbursement. I verified this with the military auto sales main office in germany and was told that I could still submit the receipts with hopes of being reimbursed. Before I tell the garage on raf lakenheath to go ahead with ordering the part I wanted to hear from this office if I will be reimbursed or not. Keep in mind my only mode of transportation is dead and I am paying for a rental out of pocket, if the genuine parts were to become available within the next week I could hold out and wait but the longer I wait the more it seems like just taking the part that is available is the cheaper option as there is no date on when genuine parts will become available. This morning while I was driving down a curvy dark country road at about 60 miles per hour, the car just shut off, all power was lost. Lights and everything. Lost power steering, power brakes, all lighting. We were very lucky we did not crash, but this issue is very dangerous. I believe that this vehicle should be included in the following recall as it describes specifically what happened to my vehicle. P60/NHTSA 14V-634

High speed/acceleration/and casual speed stalling. Freeway speed causes stalling/buckling hesitation, the engine light will go on, and the car will continue to reduce speed until it is stopped/off. After a short time (up to two days), the engine light will go off before I get to the service center, which leads to the dealership telling me "if we cannot re- create the problem, then we cannot fix it." The problem has happened over 10 times, and has now progressed to happened with a casual/ or isle speed as well. The level of severity has also increased as well as the time frame of the stalling
