Engine locked up while making a turn around on busy highway. Made complete car's steering to be locked up. Lucky to be alive and other car did not slam into me. There is a recall for this very problem on this very car, however my VIN was not in the lot of cars for this recall. Managed to move over somewhat, by the time I had tow truck meet me (within the hour) police had car towed. This was 4 weeks after paying $1400 in repairs on other car parts. 3 separate times, car stalled, while driving on busy highway D/T gas gauge stating had gas and really did not. Recall for 2009 Avenger for this problem but not 2013.

The power steering has gone out in my 2013 dodger Avenger, after having the pump replaced, the problem was still not fixed. Then the heat stops working, cost O fix that (supposedly the heater core) and the power steering (rack and pinion according to the local dodger dealership) is approx $2000. A quick search in the inter shows these are common problems in this year Avenger. It is the way the engine was produced that year. When is there going to be a safety recall for these engines that lose power steering, like mine did, less than 6 months after bought this car.

The following three warning lights have started to come on intermittently; 1) malfunction indicator light (mil); 2) electronic throttle control (etc); and 3) electronic stability control (ESC). The malfunction and ESC lights were the first warning lights to come on. The lights have activated while I am driving on dry payment without any hazardous conditions present. The etc warning light now comes on too. I have noticed that the car seems to stall when I put it in drive. Take off is slow. It takes me several blocks of driving to reach 30 mph. The car will also feel as if it lunged but resume a slow pace. Take off is extremely slow when I stop for traffic lights. The engine seems to be losing pressure. I have maintained the recommended oil change schedule. The aforementioned conditions represents a safety hazard. I found recall # N52 online which appears to be for engine stall and the loss of engine pressure.
