The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler Town and country. While driving approximately 50 mph, the front driver's seat headrest air bag suddenly deployed without impact. The driver sustained a headache and neck injury, which did not require medical attention. The vehicle was taken to elm grove Chrysler (2538 national rd, wheeling, wv) to be diagnosed, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 17,000.
In April 2018, the active head restraint on the driver's side deployed by popping forward striking the driver's head. The driver was not injured. It is clearly evident that the plastic brackets that hold the head restraint together broke apart. This occurred while vehicle was stopped normally at a traffic light. No collision or hard braking took place. For months, owner has attempted to have both local dealership and manufacturer repair this safety issue to no avail.
Passenger headrest airbag/whiplash expand safety device. Internal plastic bracket failed and caused the headrest to expand and cannot be reset. The vehicle was in the driveway and not moving when the headrest just loudly expanded, no one was setting in the seat.

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler Town and country. While the vehicle was parked, the contact reached from the driver's seat to grab something from the front passenger seat. Without warning, the driver's side headrest exploded and struck the contact on the back of the head. There were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to huffines Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram lewisville (972-538-4100, located at 1024 S stemmons fwy, lewisville, tx 75067), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer stated that there was no recall for the failure. The manufacturer was called and stated that there was a computer failure, and then hung up on the contact. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
Vehicle struck from behind and pushed into traffic sustaining rear, front and side collisions. Only passenger side curtain airbag inflated, no other airbags inflated. Also both driver and passenger seat backs failed resulting in fatal injuries to driver and serious injuries to passenger. The vehicle was stationary or just started moving when it was struck from behind on highway and pushed into other lanes of traffic.
