Sliding door has been not wanting to shut all the way. It will shut and then pop back open again.you can hear the door trying to shut but then it opens again. We have pretty much stopped using that door to go in and out. It is the passenger side. The other night we got on the freeway and you could hear that the door must not have been shut all the way, although no indicator light saying the door was open nor any interior lights where on. Before I could safely get off again and pull over the door suddenly started engaging and you could here it mechanically moving to lock, the interior of the van lit up and my dashboard indicator came on saying the door was not closed. It did safely close at that point.
The passenger sliding door has been buzzing. Also, both sliding doors randomly act like they want to open while driving. You can hear them moving and the lights turn on and off indicating door ajar and closed. This is a safety hazard for my children in the backseat as I am not sure if these doors will start automatically opening if something happens to the lock
The passenger side sliding door has issues locking and unlocking. The actuator buzzes whenever the car locks or unlocks, even after a replacement part installed. When automatically closing the door, it often gets -??stuck-?? trying to close and you can hear the door/lock motor repeatedly trying to pull the door closed and lock it even though the door is in the closed position. It will do this until the battery drains if not dealt with. To stop it, I have to manually open the door and slam it closed. Oftentimes the door is just stuck and will not open when in this stuck mode, which is the major safety concern. This has been happening for over a year now. It is especially worse in the heat, but happens all year. These doors are also frozen shut in the winter and the family has to enter the vehicle through the front driver or passenger doors.
Passenger side door will not always close electronically. It keeps trying to close and cycle. Dash shows its open and comes on sometimes when you hit a bump. A chatline i got on has dozens of complaints.
Both back doors will not shut properly. Left side no longer locks. SAFTY ISSUE. While driving the car the right back door will randomly start making a sound like it is trying to latch, but can-??t. The interior lights will begin to come on and off. Warning lights will begin to flash with a message that reads door is opened on the dashboard message system. Looked up mechanical issue with 2014 back doors not staying closed and read hundreds of people with the same issue!!!! The problem has now started on the left side as well but never at the same time as the right side. RECALL

The rear passenger sliding door keeps trying to actuate close, making it pop in and out. The door doesn't latch very well and has opened while driving. I try not to use it...
Win module is going out engine cuts out without notice when driving. There have been recalls for this part in older models but issues look to have continued into newer models
On several occasions, I was driving, and my van turned off. I revived no warning and no check engine light. I was able to put on my emergency signal and pull over. It took several tries to turn back on. It was scary and I feel unsafe driving my van with children now.
Oil filter cooler housing unit is leaking at under 150,000 miles. The leaking oil is pooling and is an extreme fire hazard. After my mechanic informed me that this was common in my vehicle it came to my attention that this has been a known issue which Chrysler has refused to take responsibility for.
Front power windows have fallen into the door three times now (driver side 2, passive 1). Each time it required replacement of the window regulator and cable. I can't imagine this happening on the highway -- would scare the bejesus out of somebody when there's a loud bang and the window just drops into the door. Plus, it's a security issue since you have an open window that can't close until you get the repair. Internet searches show this to be a common issue.
The driver's side sliding passenger door doesn't properly latch in hot weather. Instead of latching, the automatic mechanism continually tries to latch without success. Sometimes driving down the road, the door motor will continue to try to latch the door. Sometimes it will set off the alarm. The door simply will NOT latch in hot weather unless pressure is applied to the back end of the door (nearest the rear driver's side tire) in conjunction with the sound of the actuator trying to latch the door.
The passenger sliding door will not latch and just clicks over and over again. After reading to try to solve the problem I found hundreds of people with the same problem.
The driver head rest deployed while I was driving. It hit the back of my head very hard, causing my neck to hurt and I had a headache for 2 days. I did not go to the Dr. because it wasn't severe. However, I do have this on video because we have a dash cam in our van at all times. I found out these were defective, called the FCA and they told me I could go to any Chrysler dealer and I could get it replaced under warranty. So this is what I have done, but its on back order. Also, I wanted them to replace the other side since this could happen again, but they said they could not, unless it deployed. That's unacceptable if you ask me....its a safety issue for sure. This will happen again, just don't know when. Is there anything I can do about this? Thank you so much. FCA has been contacted and warranty number [XXX] and case [XXX] was given. Consumer has headache for couple of days, her neck hurt as well as in between her shoulder blades. Dealer was contacted on July 5th and head rest is backordered, dealer will install once it comes in. NHTSA has an open Investigation: PE 20-012. In this investigation, "Complainants allege a fire started at the charge hub mounted in the trim panel located on the driver's side of the vehicle between the second and third row seating." My 2014 Town and Country has an issue where the motor and/or latching mechanism overheats and the door starts to open and close on its own. This event only happens during the extreme heat of the summer (such as 90 degrees and above). The local dealership recommended replacing all of the mechanisms in the door. However, they have no idea why the air temperature impacts the door. Regardless, the door is subject to overheating. These mechanisms are located in the same part of the care where the fire investigation is occurring.
The drivers side passenger electric side door won-??t open. The door is permanently locked it normally opens with a electric motor that does it at the push of a button. None of the 4 ways to open the door with the electric motor works. The door also doesn-??t open manually from inside or outside the door. The vehicle hasn-??t been fixed or looked at it just stopped working. The was a unusual noise about a week before when the door would latch shut as soon as it closed. The door no longer functions as a way out of the van. This is a hazard in case passengers need to get out of the van in a emergency.
When attempting to close the rear sliding doors, they attempt to latch and then fail. If it's hot out the motor will randomly go off and randomly operate. The harness and motors have been replaced and yet it continues.
