NHTSA campaign number: 14V234000 I have taken my vehicle to the Chrysler dealer twice to address this safety recall over the past 6 months. Both times, I am told there are not enough parts to execute the repair and we are on a waiting list. I do not feel Chrysler is meeting their responsibilities and failing to produce sufficient parts to repair the defect in a reasonable amount of time.

Got a recall notice in summertime 2014 regarding the switch for the rear windows. That if water got down into it, it could catch fire. Went to dealer in romeo, mi. I was told that Chrysler did not provide them with the part and asked if I wanted it have it disconnected from the electrical. I declined. Went to get my oil changed at a clinton township dealership on December 2014, remembering that the recall was never dealt with, and asked again. I was told the same exact thing. No part available; could have it disconnected. I again declined. Can't understand why Chrysler bothers to send a notice if they are not going to provide the part. Legal reasons, I imagine, not for customer care.
