This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Airbag light stays on or blinks intermittently, horn and cruise control doesn't work - ***dangerous*** - will have dealer replace defective clockspring harness - recall"?"
My cruise control is intermittent, my airbag light comes on intermittenly, might windshield wipers come on intermittently. Horn sporadically does not work.
Failure of part caused cruise control, horn and airbag to be non-operational. This is a safety hazard that occured at 65 mph on the freeway. If an accident had occured, I would have been unable to operate the horn to alert another vehicle and the airbag would not have deployed. In addition, the cruise control failed while in use on the freeway which also could have resulted in an accident.
Clock spring failure just like the ones that failed on several friends Chrysler mini-vans. This causes the horn to stop, airbag light to come on, and the cruise control to stop working. This is a safety item and the NHTSA need to investigate Chrysler on this and go public!!!!
The horn/airbags, and cruise control are inoperable. Dealer contacted. Dealer stated that the clockspring an electrical part that sits behind the steering wheel failed, dealer also stated that this is a common problem with these particular vehicles.
Airbag light remains illuminated on the dash. Also, cruise control and horn are inoperative. Serpentine belt failed. Tensioner belt failed and was replaced. Mirror light is out. Dealer replaced the faulty clockspring.
