This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Both problems are perennial, in form I could not specify. Air bag light is always on and may fail in an accident; horn, by not working may not prevent an accident, it almost happened once already; cruise control is an inconvenience not having. Wipers go on by themselves, specially when turning on the blinkers. At times wipers don't stop and may divert your attention from traffic, it could be a dangerous situation.
Horn fails to work along with an air bag warning light that doesn't turn off; transmission of the car had to replaced in less than four years; electrical systems in the car acts rather sporadic, radio turns off and on by it self; air conditioning no longer works/ hose failed radiator, and water pump had to be replaced
Due to the failure of the clock spring assembly, my cruise control, horn and air bag all failed as well. If I had experienced a crash the driver's side air bag would not have deployed.
Ea 01 007/air bag clockspring: Air bag light remained on while driving. Also, horn and cruise control were inoperative. Dealer was notified. Feel free to provide any further information.

PE 00 032/air bag clock spring failure: Reporting inoperative horn and cruise control. Also, air bag light sensor remained on while traveling. Dealer notified, and informed consumer that vehicle was not cover under extended warranty or a recall. Provide any further information.
The clock spring in the steering wheel failed. This in turn controls the horn, cruise control and above all, the airbag. When I went to the dealership, the service advisor knew exactly what the problem was, without performing a diagnostic. This was one of several he knew of and was rumored to be a recall. I contacted customer service at Chrysler, but received the expected brushoff, and was told that as the steering wheel was turned it causes the part to wear. This seems unacceptable, especially with a safety component. You may as well tell me that the seatbelt latch will fail after so many connections.
Clock spring failure causing airbag to fail, causing cruise control to fail and also causing horn to fail. The mechanic said the failures were due to the clock spring failure.
In January 2001, my 1996 Chrysler Town & Country minivan's "airbag" warning light came on and has stayed on continuosly since that time. At the same time... my horn and cruise control stopped working as well. I have checked the fuses and they are all in proper working order. Today, I learned from your web site that cnn.com reported on this very problem on 3-19-01. This article prompted me to file this report. With all three failures, airbag warning light, no horn and no cruise control, I'm assuming the airbag is defective and will not deploy in the event of a frontal crash.
Consumer was traveling 55mph and another vehicle cut in front, causing a head on collision. Front airbags didn't deploy. Consumer and passenger sustained major injuries. Both vehicles were totaled. Weeks before accident, consumer had been back and forth complaining that airbag light was going on and off, and horn stopped working. Dealer didn't have a remedy as to why the ABS light was coming off.
Horn is not active/ cruise control doesn't work, and air bag light is illuminating on dash panel. Dealer has been contacted, and was willing to replace clock spring for a fee.
Airbag light came on/horn, and cruise control failure. Consumer took vehicle to a private mechanic who has repaired vehicle. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
