NHTSA recall 96 V 075-000/manufacturer's recall 687 concerning ABS hydrulic master cylinder:recall repair was not completed.feel free to provide any further information.
Dealership examined anti-lock brake system and determined that brake fluid is not reaching rear-brake system. Component causing this problem to occur is called the "hydromatic control unit, " and is reported to be on a national back-order. Please provide any additional information / documentation.
Brakes-driving on several occasions brakes will make a grinding sound and go to the floor, and will finally stop. Had brakes replaced often, because they wear down often. Battery- had to replace battery several times, because something causes battery to go dead. Engine-driving at different speeds or sitting at stop signs and lights car will stall withot warning, took car to the shop, could not find problem, also called manufacture. Electrical system-gas gauge shows empty when car is full, check engine light comes on, radio in car would go off when you hit a bump, finally stop working, dash lights come on and off. Air conditioner-have had several problems with air conditioner, have had different parts replaced, when sitting with air on car tries to go died. Transmission- car leaks fluid, can't find spot, while driving up a hill transmission will slip is hard to pull, have had many problems out of car and sent to car repair shop many times.

Vehicle was in park with engine running, consumer applied brakes, and put vehicle in drive. Suddenly engine revved, and vehicle surged forward, pedal to floor. Vehicle hit a couple of curbs, went airborne about 32 ft, then, landed in a 15 ft deep ditch. Damage $ $666, no injuries.
Consumer was traveling on highway and ABS braking light system came on. She took vehicle to a mechanic, and he told her that master cylinder piston and hydraulic chamber malfunctioned. This vehicle wa snot included in manufacturer's recall 686.
After applying brakes ABS system did not release after each brake application which caused brakes to fail and the vehicle to fishtail, resulting in a collision. Consumer states the brake lines collapse, rear brake adjusters failed.
While depressing brake pedal, vehicle would begin to slow, a click sound is heard and the pedal seems to lock and vehicle does not slow for a period of seconds, dealer can not find any problems and states that brakes are working as normal.
While driving ABS braking system malfunctioned, causing ABS light to come on and the brake pedal to travel to the floor, and vehicle acclerated which may have caused a crash. To stop vehicle, emergency parking brake had to be applied. Mechanic fixed an ABS right sensor. Problem is still occurring.ak
Have had the brakes repaired 4+ times and still not fixed. Have spent $1500 just on brakes not to mention other problems such as transmission. This is the worst car and I will never buy Chrysler product again. No help from manufacturer. Contacted each time. I just wish the brakes would be fixed before a major accident is caused.
Recall 96V075000/brakes:hydraulic:master cylinder: Brake failed while driving at 35-40 mph, forcing vehicle into an field to avoid a collision. But, five passengers sustained minor injuries; dealer notifed. Feel free to provide further details.
Hydraulic noise under hood as brakes applied, brakes failed to stop car, caused minor crash, leaking master cyl replaced, brakes failed again twice, Chrysler replacing computer module governing brake hydraulics, would not confirm this would cause brakes to fail
Noise detected same week car purchased replaced once, but noice continued until present, dealer informed of noise from beginning and several times and also manufacturer but problem presist. Dealer said could not do anything because noise could not be reproduced wich then was reproduced but was considered normal but problem caused accident accident also problem with brakes wearing out too fast.
Complete steering failure at left frt wheel, luckily I was backing when it occurred. ABS light on braking system indicates a problem, pulls when brake is applied
These incidents seemed to go all about the same time. The ABS light still will not reset. The brake light on the dash comes on intermittently. The electronic control module on the hydraudlic secquencing valve was found to be inoperative. The ECM module was defective. The fuel pump electrical 4-pin connector on the fuel pump within the fuel tank showed discoloration. The fuel tank low level light was 'adjusted', never has been accurate. Fuel
