On September of 2016, I received a recall notice stating that the potential loss of airbag and seat belt pretensioner deployment during a crash may increase the risk of injury. It also stated that when a remedy and parts were available, I would be notified. I have been driving this car for 7 months (probably for 5 years, since I purchased it new) without this needed protection, and there has been no notification yet. When can I expect Chrysler to correct this problem?

I have called and checked online to see when the parts would be in to have the recall issue solved and I have been told they do not have an eta and the parts aren't available.

THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE AIRBAG AND SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER DEPLOYMENT CAPABILITY ON MY CAR THAT STARTED ON OCTOBER 1, 2016. WHEN I GOT THE RECALL NOTICE IN OCTOBER IT SAID THAT THERE WAS NO CURRENT REMEDY. IT'S NOW DECEMBER AND THERE STILL IS NO REMEDY WHICH MEANS THAT THE PROBLEM WON'T BE FIXED IN THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE WHICH IS OUTRAGEOUS. IF OUR LIVES ARE AT RISK BECAUSE A CAR COMPANY CAN'T GET OFF ITS [XXX] AND FIX THIS, THEN THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO INTERVENE. I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY CAR BECAUSE IN THE BACK OF MY MIND I KNOW THAT IT MIGHT NOT PROTECT ME COMPLETELY IF I GET IN A CRASH WHICH SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED NOW.
