Consumer has a 1999 Chevrolet, Silverado. Consumer was riding around and hearing a noise coming from the passenger front tire. Original tires with approx. 20,000 miles. Tire had bulges & tread separation. Chevrolet dealer replaced the tire under their warranty. Tire size LT245/75R16 dot # vn11bac 468. The tire that had tread separation was steel tex, 16".
Original equipment on a 1999, Chevrolet, C3500, LT245/75R16. Tread separated on the left rear at highway speeds. The customer was traveling at 65 mph at 90 degree tempreature when the tread separated completely.
PE00 020; consumer had had parked his car in front of the house and noticed that right rear tire was flat. There were stress marks on the tire. Tires were Firestone wilderness #at P26575R16. He said that he contacted Firestone.

Truck was parked in driveway. Noticed a bulge in tire. Went in house to inform room-mate. Tire blew out side where bulge was, while just sitting in driveway. Blew gravel into neighbors garage and vehicle (Jeep). Tire had a hole about the size of a quarter between the sidewall and the tread. Firestone dealer charged us to replace the tire - said it wasn't covered under warranty - and it must have been something we did" how can a tire just blow out sitting in a driveway"( dot number: Tire size: 26575R16 )
PE00 020; consumer took vehicle to dealership because he was having problem with steering. Mechanic told him that front driver's tire tread had separated from wheel. Tires were Firestone wilderness #at P26575R16/114S/M/S. dealership replaced the tire. Firestone Wilderness AT P265/75/R16
After being driven could see tire tread was wrinkling from rear left tire. Consumer heard a noise and felt the vehicle becoming unstable, immediately puled over and changed the tire.
