A warning message comes on the dash telling the driver there is a issue with the trailer brakes, or wiring system. The trailer brakes become inoperable when this comes on. We have contacted GM with the issue, both at the dealer level and at the corporate level; and they insist it is a problem with our trailers. The same trailers are used with older Chevrolet trucks without incident. We have also been informed by GM that the 2015 Silverado 2500's are equipped with a more sensitive trailering system. When the connection becomes wet during inclement weather, or the truck hits a bump; and the connector loses contact momentarily the message will illuminate. Resulting in the loss of trailer brakes. This is a serious safety issue.

After sitting for two days, I went out to start my 2015 Chevrolet Silverado to drive to town and it was dead - no power, lights, horn, ignition, nothing. The vehicle was absolutely stone cold dead. Having two decades in the car restoration business, I grabbed my battery charger and hooked it up and charged the battery for 4 hours. Attempting to start the Silverado again resulted in the same thing - stone cold dead. I swapped the batteries to no avail. The vehicle still wasn't powering up. I looked for blown fuses, loose connectors, all with negative results. I had the truck towed to the dealer 106 miles away. The next day the dealer advised it started right up after a jump start. My reply was that is simply incorrect and I repeated the steps I went through. They replied they wished to keep it for a few days. Ultimately I had to trade the vehicle because the dealership stated the truck wasn't designed to operate in a dusty environment. My reply was that I bought it to use on my ranch and they knew that to begin with. They advised the dust permeated the body control module, engine control module, and human interface and today's trucks simply are designed for that.

Vehicle has had several electrical issues, including backup camera not functioning, radio info screen disappearing, traction control must be turned off in order to have reasonable throttle response when under 40 degrees outside, most significant is the fuel pump fuse blowing multiple times and shutting the engine down which creates an unsafe condition since there is a sudden loss of power. Chevrolet unwilling to repair and is refusing to return calls on my inquiry about the safety of this vehicle.

The contact rented a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado. While preceding into an intersection and making a right turn, the vehicle suddenly shut off. After restarting the engine, the vehicle operated as normal. During the incident, the ignition key erroneously moved from the run to the auxiliary position and caused the vehicle to shut off. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,000.

After having rains for almost 3 days straight in southern California, I finally got some time to clean the interior of my vehicle. Upon moving the floor mat on the passenger side, I notice the carpet was soaking wet. There is a leak somewhere near the firewall allowing water to enter the cabin on the passenger side. Long term, I am afraid of mold and mildew accumulation as well as water affecting electronics. Front drivers seat has a lot of slop in it. Upon accelerating and braking, I can feel the front drivers seat rock forward and backward slightly. Seat makes a clunking/tapping noise. Radio reception is terrible. Fm radio looses signal strength and sounds like you're in a cave.

When shifting the vehicle out of park, if the tilt steering wheel is in the full up position, and the shift lever is pulled fully rearward so as to shift out of park, then the shift lever will hit and be stopped from moving by the ignition key. If you force the situation by pulling back and down with more than normal force, the key and key switch takes quite an abnormal load from the shift lever. I reported this to the local dealer and was told that this is normal, because someone else had reported the same problem. This is not normal. There is an easy solution to this problem. The handle part of the ignition key needs to be shorter. If this situation is not fixed, I fear that the ignition key switch assembly will eventually take damage.
