The 2000 Silverado has to be a blunder by General Motors. The truck has bad tires, the engine has used oil since day one. The engine has a deep knocking noise in the lower part and a tapping noise in the upper part. The engine has a miss at idle and no matter how much diagnostic equipment you hook up to the truck you can't find the reason, but after checking I have found that all the 99 and 2000 silerado's with the 5.3 have had a strange miss/vibration. There are so many more problems that I can't explain them all within this comment section.. note the truck only has 8,592 miles. General Motors has got a major problem with these trucks. GM trucks have really gone down hill.GM customers need to be able to get ahold of some upper level management to discuss their problems and address their concerns on timely manner.
