Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V381000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was taken to lone star Chevrolet (18900 northwest fwy, houston, tx 77065) and they referred the contact to the manufacturer. The dealer stated that the part was not available. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Received notice today from "tk holdings Inc." That takata has filed ch.11 bankrupcy in the us & Mexico. States to contact my local dealership to schedule a free repair. My local dealer hasn't been given direction from General Motors on how to proceed. I haven't had a problem (yet) but how can I know whether I'm driving a vehicle that may have an air bag blow at any time" is the NHTSA going to hold the vehicle manufacturers responsibility for including dangerous/potentially dangerous parts" and General Motors can't even tell me if my vehicle is dangerous and they do not have a resolution for this federal recall.
Takata recall. I own a vehicle that has the takata airbags installed and I have not been notified that GMC will fix my vehicle. GMC has not taken action on this recall, they filed a petition of inconsequentiality. Many manufacturers have issued recalls for the takata airbag inflators and fixed the affected cars. GMC needs to fix these airbags to prevent further injury.

"takata recall" contacted gordon Chevrolet upon receipt of first recall notice and I was told no fix was available. Contacted gordon Chevrolet today upon receipt of the chapter 11 notice and again was told no fix was available. I have yet to experience any injuries or damages.
Takata recall, the warning seat belt light comes on when stationary and while driving on street highway and resets, I am afraid this will activate. I informed dealership but was informed there wasn't a recall for my vehicle and possibly electrical problems with air bag actuator.
"takata recall" I've had my recall notice since 07/25/2016 for recall #49151 and have constantly checked online and have called dealers yet there is still no repair available I just want to know the facts of what is going on especially if this can "cause death" ! so please inform of what is the problem.
Takata recall. I was notified of the recall in May 2016 but no remedy has been established. This is far too long to drive around with a potential hazard.
Takata recall: I have had the service air bag message going on /off since 8/27/2015 @34,147 miles, General Motors case #83119740858 states that there is (no issues) with the air bags, they have continued to state I would have to pay $200 to to check fault code and pay for the replacement of the air bag. I gave provided there recall # 2049151 they continue to state that is is not a safety issue, our family also have a 2013 denali, and a 2016 cad. Escalade. Regarding the takata recall, I received recall notice 49151 from GM on 7/2016 for my Chevy truck. It said "you will be notified when parts are available..." that was well over a year ago! I spoke with GM customer service today on 10/14/2017 about this and all the young man said was that there is nothing to worry about. Evidently GM and takata are in some kind of disagreement over the airbag issue while my family driving around in a vehicle with defective airbags. Also, the dashboard by the passenger airbag compartment cracked about 6 months ago and this really concerns me. Please help!
