Catalytic converter failed with less than 80,000 miles. The truck was taken to dealership, denooyer Chevrolet, from which it had been bought new and by which it had always been serviced to remedy the check engine light prior to 80,000 miles with authorization to perform any diagnostic and remediation covered under warranty. Dealer did not make repair and advised it would cost me hundreds of dollars to even find out what was wrong. I now have taken the truck to a separate shop for diagnosis and was told a catalytic converter has gone bad. However, I am now slightly at 89,000 miles. Dealer is saying warranty on catalytic converts expired at 80,000 miles. Front brake rotors warped within the first year of ownership. A/C cooling coil cracked under 80,000 miles as well due to a faulty part, and apparently that warranty expired at 30,000 miles.

While in reverse backing up from parking spot with 2 lane traffic behind parking location, applied brakes and was unable to stop completely. Brakes went into what felt like anti lock and pumped while I was trying to stop. Second time coming to a stop at a stop sign, apply brakes and brake pushed back and was unable to fully stop

Brakes worked great during three hour drive until I put the vehicle in reverse. The rpms dropped and while I was backing up I had to use both feet to stop in time before hitting a parked vehicle. This problem needs to be fixed asap and there are many forum reviews of the same issue

Menards entrance parking lot, approaching a left turn into the parking lot, applied brakes and slid into the corner pole located on the South side of the building, truck was unable to stop!, causing damage to the front end of my vehicle and causing physical damage to my wife. Before accident happened I did report the faulty braking system to local GM dealership 3X, still having issues, 2nd accident in a parking lot truck again wouldn't stop! running into the side of a cement parking wall, this is when I brought it in the 4th X and they tell that it was fixed! and again while driving out of the dealer ship shop drove about a mile, coming to park the truck again wouldn't stop had to avoid hitting a oncoming car that was leaving that area. After all this I contacted GM headquarter and they sent a inspector out to inspect the vehicle, recently contacted me and explain that well the truck was in an accident! and they replaced the vacuum brake with a new one! the truck is operating okay! already frustrated asked what about the damage to the truck! and to my wife, response I will have to get back to you! did get back to me well we can pay for the side of the truck damage but that's it, what about my wifes neck injury, no reply, ask to get him a estimate and fax. So that's where im at with this, still waiting, with my wife still enduring pain after the 1st accident. No satisfaction yet.

I own a 2015 Silverado high country with 73K miles. Over the past month or so - when backing into a parking garage spot at work, I have lost most of the braking power. The brakes felt really hard and felt like it was all the way to the floor. I was able to stop the truck by pressing the brake pedal hard real hard several times in order to stop safely with out running into the retaining wall. This issue has happened several times when pulling into my driveway or a parking spot at a grocery store. I almost bumped a car in front of me in a parking lot spot and decided to start parking out further to keep from hitting any other vehicles. At my most recent oil change, I received a report that my brakes were all "good" based on the service tech's inspection. This is a really dangerous situation that needs to have a recall placed to GM to get this issue fixed on all affected trucks.

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at 5 mph, when attempting to depress the brake pedal it became extremely hard and went to the floorboard making the vehicle unable to stop. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 16V069000 (service brakes, hydraulic) but the VIN was not included. The vehicle was taken to a dealer (matt bowers Chevrolet metairie located at 8213 airline dr, metairie, la 70003) but the failure was unable to be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. On another occasion, when the contacts husband was driving at approximately 5 mph and attempted to depress the brake pedal, it failed to slow the vehicle down and rear ended another vehicle in front. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed and there were no injuries reported. The contact mentioned that a loaner was provided due to her husband driving 114 miles per day for work. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

There was a recall on the brake pressure when vehicle was moving slow. I had the recall corrected/completed; however, it still has the problem. So their solution isn't fixing the problem. When you are driving at a slower speed and apply the brakes it feels like the go out and the vehicle doesn't stop. You have to press brakes really hard.

Recall on braking system, reported to GM dealer, waited, drove vehicle while still on recall, dealership quoted that it will be okay, ( travel to med appointments) after several attempts, finally got it in, (its fixed), continued driving it, still having problems with braking, the pedal was jumping, oh! that's normal stated the technician, I continued driving, I called the dealer ship I bought the truck from, new in 2015, explained explain to them the problem im having, (said well bring it to the dealer ship near you, did that!) again nowhere, called the dealership and asked if they would look at it, well bring it in, tech took for a ride, that's what they normally do, vibrate like that, yah. Well frustrated as I was we continued to drive, to my med appointments, well, coming back stop at an establishment, as we were pulling in the truck wouldn't stop!, and I slid right into a mental pole, damaging the entire front of our truck, the force of the hit lunged both I and my wife forward at an abrupt stop! my wife sustain a neck and back injury, my left shoulder, report to ins, and property owner, my ins pay out for the damage. I reported this to the dealer ship, we'll have to schedule an appointment.

There has been loss of power braking at low speeds. The brake pedal has a vibrating feel as it is pressed. The pedal will go down all the way to the floor with very little braking power. I took my truck in for the recall work for the same issue which had no effect. I had a prior problem with a fuel injector going out with less than 50,000 miles on the truck. This caused loss of power in situations where power is needed such as merging on to a freeway. This is a very dangerous situation where someone could be killed. Chevrolet says the fuel injector is not part on the engine even through the maniford had to be removed to replace it. The part was not replace under under warranty. This part should not be failing under any circumstance.

Truck has issues stopping at slow speeds. Extreme pedal pressure is required to stop the vehicle. When towing, and attempting to back up a trailer, the pressure required on the pedal makes maneuvering extremely difficult to control and unsafe. Brakes are a vital piece of equipment, and are needed to safely operate a vehicle in today's driving environments. I had this looked at by a dealer's service department. They informed me of a recall and said they "adjusted the sensor", but that has not corrected the issue.
