When I am turning, my vehicle loses power and or dies. If my emergency lights are on it causes my ac to turn so low it almost doesn't work and other electrical problems. I was almost hit in an intersection because my vehicle died due to loss of power when I was turning.

It started with the truck losing power when making slow speed turns into driveway/parking spot which includes loss of power steering which has caused me to almost crash several times. The power used to come back up but now it is resulting in the truck just turning itself off mid turn and not just on slow turns. It happened when I was making a turn onto a street and I was forced to muscle the truck off the side of the road- no power at all so no power steering-going about 10-15 mph. When driving with cruise control on if you use the turn signal it kicks off the cruise control. The ac will just stop and the truck will just shut off. The whole time all/any of this is happening my dash is telling me stability control is off, steering assist of off drive with care....if the dash has any power that is. The trailer brake system flashes like I am using the brakes when I am sitting in the truck door open, key out. I have unplugged that thinking it was the problem but it didn't change anything. At times it is completely random that all power almost bottoms out and comes back moments later. There is definitely something wrong and as see I am not the only one having these same issues...should investigate and offer recall and get these trucks fixed before someone does crash. My truck only has 53,300 miles on it and it has a new battery and we have checked the alternator. The date below would be when I almost crashed turning the corner and truck died.

It started out as the truck losing all power when entering the truck. No power to the dash or ignition. Then power would return out of nowhere. Lately the truck will lose all power while the truck is running sitting still and moving down the highway. Engine will stay running but no dash no A/C and when the dash returns stabitrac notification is on the screen. Today the truck did this 11 times in 1 hour and even lost steering control while driving down a large highway. While on the side of the highway with the hazards on the dash, controls and A/C intermittently flicked for a full 2 minutes

Has occurred multiple times with the vehicle was stationary, in motion, on a city street, highway, turning, at a variety of speeds. The vehicle temporarily loses power and power steering. The stabilitrack and steering assist indicators appears on dashboard. Sometimes the power returns, other times I will have to put the vehicle in park, reposition key, and restart the engine. I had vehicle serviced by dealership earlier this year, and my VIN did not match any recalls. They couldn't identify the issue and suggested I replace the battery. I replaced the good battery with a new battery, and still experience this issue. This occurs multiple times a week, sometimes multiple times a day, and has been ongoing for at least a year..

Coming off the interstate going about 75 mph, as I was pulling in to a gas station slowly my steering wheel got really stiff as if I had no power steering. Warning lights came on, radio shut off, A/C shut off, and stability trac was disabled all for about 5 seconds and everything came back on as if nothing had happened. Shortly after I was pulling off from the gas station very slowly and the truck just shut off with no warning.it always seems to start up just fine right after as if nothing happened. Also not sure if this is a related problem but when I'm at a red light behind other vehicles I noticed my headlights dim when I press the brakes or turn the wheel, I can see the voltage meter raise and drop when this happens.yes I've had the alternator and battery checked and that didn't seem to be the problem either.

When attempting to exit my driveway, the steering wheel locked and my truck scraped into a post damaging the driver door and the front panel. This only lasted for a couple of seconds, but it was bad enough. Upon checking the carfax, I found that there was a recall on this particular and serious issue. The dealership failed to check if any recalls was reported on this vehicle. Now my truck is damaged and the dealership refuses to fix my vehicle. I hold them responsible and have reported them to the BBB. We will see what comes out of this if anything.

When driving with the cruise control on at approximately between 55-70 mph the dash flickers and the truck will occasionally will turn off completely for approximately 1 second and then come right back on. This problem will occur also if you tap the brakes after this happens. Upon parking the truck the flickering of the dash can occur more mildly by engaging the brake, turn signals, or high beams. Seems impossible to use the cruise and turn signals to change lanes without this happening. Stability trak error comes up when the truck turns completely off. It has once said something about steering assist going off or something like that.

While driving at a low rate of speed, my vehicle has completely shut off. After putting the truck in park and restarting, it drove fine. This has happened several times now. Once I pulled into our driveway and while waiting for the garage door to open, it shut off momentarily and then restarted on its own. Now it is shutting off and not restarting. The power steering is also gone when this happens. This is incredibly dangerous at intersections. We've called the dealership but they said they weren't aware of any issues. This started occurring around 85,000 miles.

Recently I have noticed some stiffness in my steering. It's only temporarily when driving at low speeds my steering wheel locks on me but regains control in a matter of seconds. Usually happens when making a turn coming out of a parking zone or turning from a stop. I'm concerned about this because I wouldn't want this happening at high speeds or freeway. Along with the steering issue I noticed my radio will not come on when I turn my truck on I have to turn truck off a couple times and back on and it'll come on. Not sure if this is related or if it's just coincidence but both issues began around the same time.

While driving vehicle on city street, going straight or turning, voltage will go down and result in the truck cutting out (radio) lights flicker (headlights and dash lights) and service stabitrak will come on dash then the airbag light will come on. With final result of having surges of power steering with voltage drops. Resulting in almost a head on collision. Pulled over and shut the truck off for a minute then it will be fine. Took to local Chevrolet dealership, they 'visually checked' all engine grounds, battery terminals, starter wire, alternator wire, and power steering wires. Everything checked out good. It did throw 13 dtc's related to low voltage. Haven't had a problem in 7,000 miles and now it is starting again. I am uncertain of the faulty issue, and so is my local dealership. But, they wanna 'try' all kinds of different things at my expense, which I think is wrong. There are recalls for the same year of truck with the same issues.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at a low speed, the vehicle loss power steering assist. The failure also occurred while the vehicle was idling. The contact stated that the failure recurred intermittently. The contact stated that the 'steering reduced, drive with care' warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously included in and repaired under NHTSA campaign number: 17V414000 (steering) however, the repair failed to prevent the failure. The recall repair was performed by moritz Chevrolet (9101 camp bowie w blvd, fort worth, tx 76116, (800) 249-9475). The dealer was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was advised to have the vehicle taken back to the dealer to be diagnosed, which was still pending. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 128,000. Vehicle was taken to james wood Chevrolet (denton, tx) where failure was determined to be caused by a voltage resistor from battery cables. Dealer stated that battery cables would need to be replaced. Vehicle was repaired.

An electrical problem that happens randomly. It will be fine for 6-8 months then it will act up. It starts when I brake the lights will dim. The stabiltack light will flash off and on. While still in motion. The truck will lose power and the brakes and steering will lock up. Usually when coming to a stop or turning slow. It's happened at stop lights, parking lots and a parking garage. This is very dangerous for myself and others. I have no control at this point. I've also experienced the truck not cranking but after it sits for a while it will crank like nothing was ever wrong with it. Interior lights and door locks come off and on. I've researched this problem online and it seems a lot of ppl have the exact same problems. What everyone is saying is that it is the G218 ground issue. I've took it to the dealership and they act like they haven't heard of the problem. Every time I've took it they charge me a fortune and tell me to put a new battery in it. I hope this get investigated because it's a very serious issue and someone will be hurt. I am actually scared to drive this vehicle. Thank you.

Vehicle steering is interrupted while in motion and turning. ( ~10 mph city streets) vehicle shuts off at low speed or after idleing and vehicle is placed into drive from park.(city streets 0-7mph) while at highway speeds speed/cruse control disengages (shuts off) when right turn signal is activated. (multiple hwy speed ranges' 50-75 mph) note'-date below is the latest of these repeated issues. The three events described have repeated occasionally recurred since ownership. Now steering interruption and vehicle losing power after idleing more frequent. Speed/cruse control disengagement when signal light is activated is also recurring.
