I currently own a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and have it in she shop because the air conditioner was blowing out hot air. Upon the dealer inspection they determined a hole to be in the condenser by the radiator causing a big leak.
2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 crew cab lt. A/C blows hot air A/C condenser is leaking. This seams like a common problem that I and many more people think should be a recall started on. My 2014 siverodo only has 53,000 miles on it and I have always been a loyal Chevrolet truck customer. This vehicle is in all original condition and has never been wrecked or repaired.
While driving, the "service trailer brakes system" kept coming on. There was a visual and audio warning chime that would not stop. Instead of a single notification to the driver, the intermittent connection would result in the error message continuously re-appearing and chiming. This was extremely distracting and could increase risk of crash. I removed the brake gain controller from the dash and found corrosion on an electrical contact strip. After cleaning it with electronics cleaner, the error message went away.
Check engine light appeared on my vehicle. Turns out it is catalytic converter. My vehicle is well maintained so not understanding what is going on, but it is not normal. That is a very expensive peice for it to give out just like that. In all honesty has to be the worst model of Chevy I have owned. So many problems. This should be a recall because there is no way this can be a problem in a newer vehicle. When I took it to get checked the mechanics didn't even believe it.
Long story short. This is a weekly issue that I no longer feel safe in this truck. Last year about 5/2020 I took it on a 6 hour-round trip drive. The highway is 70 miles per hour. About midway back home the truck jerked hard and shut off for a second and turned back on. While I was driving on the highway at 70mph! I pulled over to make sure everything was still "okay" to drive home for the next 2 hours. I am very lucky that, that did not result into a serious collision. I had a full truck of people including a child along with a 4X4 in the bed of the truck. This continues to be an on going issue with the "stabilitrack" alert always coming on every second. Another occasion I was pulling into a parking lot when half-way through the entrance way, the truck shut off, completely. None of the lights turned on, the truck would not turn on for a good 10 minutes. I was blocking the entrance and there was nothing I could do about it. Then just recently I notice that my lights, all lights flicker when I move the steering wheel or when I step on the break and gas pedals. If I drive it long enough all sound is off even though the volume is up. Then when I need to make any turn, any direction, the wheel becomes hard to turn to the point where I cannot move the steering wheel then it shuts off again. I have been lucky that I have not been in a serious collison due to this. I see a lot of complaints regarding the same issues I have. I have two small children and if this truck is the reason we get injured, I will be seeking legal action. I have taken it in to a local dealership with my concerns but the diagnostics never bring up an issue.

Radiator has stress cracks in the upper left corner. The dealer has done water pump replacement and thermostats upgrade. Dealer has replaced radiator 3 times and I have paid labor and parts. The cracks occur about every 2 years.
I was hit in the rear passenger side of my truck on the highway and ended up hitting the wall it will need a balljoint, control arm, fender, hood and passenger side headlight, still needs fixed but it only has 60K miles on
While exiting interstate we lost all pulling power. After a few moments it let us move the vehicle but pulling power was slipping, then we lost pull again and had to have it towed. There were no service engine lights or anything and now they are telling me that the transmission is bad. I have just over 110,000 miles on this truck and the repair shop tells me that this is a common issue with the transmissions on this vehicle.
I remote started my truck and it started smoking from the rear of the crew cab, it went out but left brown snow around it but about a mile down the road the right rear glass exploded and luckily my oldest daughter is forward facing in her child seat and the glass went over or behind her chair. If my youngest was there she would have certainly taken glass to the face and been too young to not put it in her mouth if it didn't immediately hurt her. The vehicle was stationary, the remote start was used and I believe my vehicles rear defrosters were engaged during the remote start.the smoke started immediately and I shut it off to get it to go away and removed them stained snow from the area. The glass exploded about a mile down the road with no other warning sign. I saw online that Canada already has a recall out for this fire/safety hazard and I?M not sure the out of pocket replacement window I get will make the truck any safer for me and my kids. My truck isn't changing gears like it should and jerks when I slow down and apply the brakes. My mechanic said my transmission is bad and there's a recall on my make & model truck
My air conditioning continues to go out and leak out the fluids, I have had the system checked and a leak could not be found. I live in AZ.and need cooling while using my vehicle. The lack of cooling causes me to get over heated and even causes me to become physically ill, I should have a good working system, I have research and all 2014 Chevy Silverado have the same problem. Clearly this is a problem that the manufacturer is aware of and dealers don't have any replacement parts.I become I'll everytime I have to use my truck, its 112 degrees in AZ and I don't have ac...
Drivers side seat belt will not clip in. Also, condenser & power switch on ac unit all of a sudden went bad. According to purcell tire & auto, desoto, mo. Yesterday. I've had this truck in that shop 3 times for the same problem. This all started on or about Aug. 10th 2020
In motion and at low speed, the vehicle stalls out when idling into a tight turn, like a parking lot or space. it hasn't always cut totally off. Usually the 'stability trac' light comes on with the failure, but some times it just cuts off, and when I crank it restarts right up.
The ac has randomly stopped working. Proper maintenance has been given to this truck. It is not the compressor as the compressor still turns on. Tried recharging it with freon. Many, many websites have described the problem coming from the ac lines and how it was designed by GM. If it is a design flaw, no matter how many times we fix it and spend, it will keep going on. GM needs to be responsible and fix this issue
