The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 42,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the heated seat sensor and collision avoidance system ceased to function. Seth wadley Chevrolet Buick of ada (1301 N broadway ave, ada, ok) was contacted and referred the contact to the GMC manufacturer. The contact stated the heated seats were repaired on two occasions. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no further assistance was offered and the contact was referred to NHTSA. The vehicle failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving 45 mph, the air conditioner failed to blow cold air. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to bruce walters Ford-Lincoln Kia (302 South mayo, pikeville, ky 41501, (606) 444-2200) where it was diagnosed that the condenser failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 52,000.
The stabilitytrack will flash on and make the steering wheel very difficult to steer or while turning the steering wheel will jerk out of my hand and not let me maneuver the way I want to. At the same time the truck will briefly lose all power disabling everything. This has happened in parking lots as well as everyday city and highway driving and at all speeds from as slow as 5mph to as fast as 70mph. There has 2 times after this happens that I turn the truck off to try to restart it, the truck will be completely dead. Not even the hazard lights will come on. There are other times where I will lose all power to my radio and driver info center and it stays black until I restart the truck a few times. I have taken it to the dealership now 4 separate times now and every time they say its something new. I have paid a little over $800 so far and it is still happening. I am now waiting to hear back from GM/Chevy to see what they can do, but looking at what I have already dealt with it I am not optimistic. I have read other complaints about this and I am afraid that its only a matter of time that I will not be able to recover my steering and I will get in an accident with my family in the truck.
Truck dash will flicker and cause stabletrak to disable, and then steering assist says limited. Radio will change stations when this happens, and the steering wheel will lock up and is unable to be turned. Has happened several times while we're on the highway. It's when we're in motion, has happened while trying to park, going on a back road, and on the highway. While in park, we can hear occasional clicking coming from inside the dash. It's been occurring since October, but was really bad on December 22nd. Have a video of one of the occurrences, but not sure how to upload it.

When driving steering wheel locks and stalls out in the middle of driving and turning and says steering loss please drive safe and it's dangerous I could crash
While making a left turn into my driveway on a city street going approximately 10 mph, my steering wheel suddenly jerked to the left out of my hand, and the entire vehicle went dead (lost all power, lights, etc.). because the steering wheel locked, I was unable to turn fully into my driveway. As a result, the bed of the truck was sticking out into a major road and I was almost hit by cars coming around the curve by my driveway. It was dark and rainy. I called someone for help and we pushed the truck out of the roadway as best as possible, considering that the steering wheel was still locked. The truck would not restart. All power was gone. The only way I could think to move the truck was to jump start it with another vehicle. After jumpstarting the truck, the dash info system displayed, "action required: Open then close driver window." This is the 2nd time this happened after Chevy dealership performed recall 17276 "temporary loss of electrical power steering (eps) service (during low speed steering maneuvers). There is a tsb out alluding to this issue: #pit5405C: Steering jerks or kicks back / reduced power steering assist / engine stall, etc. (Jan 27, 2017). Why is there no recall"?" this is a major safety issue and could have been deadly!
The mylink and radio keeps going out eean after being replaced. The dashboard funcions act erratically with blinking and then resets the statistics. When the horn is konked the mylink and radio go dead. The dangerous part id the dash functions acting erratically. Hope it does not stall on my on the highway infront of a semit truck or something.
The radio randomly changes stations on its own and the touch screen doesnot work at random times. The front driver's and passenger's side windows go up and down automatically and cannot be stopped; when the window switch is depressed up or down, the window will make one complete cycle of opening and closing before stopping in the directed position. Both these actions occur randomly and unsuspectingly.
I filed a previous complaint, #11044339, but forgot to add something. I took my vehicle to the dealer on Sept. 22,2017 for the power steering recall, #17276. I don't know if this is related to the problem, but thought it might be some good information to divulge.
While on the highway a stabilitrack warning appeared on the dash stating it might affect power steering assist. This came on several times. Then with the cruise control on and signaling a lane change the cruise was cancelled. This also occurred several times. It also appeared that the dash lights flickered, but I wasn't sure because of the sunlight. Later that evening I was making a turn on a city street when the dash lights went completely out and I had no power steering. This lasted about 2 seconds before everything came back on. After that episode it hasn't happened since. After reading other similar complaints I am concerned it could happen again and could result in a crash. It seems that when the cruise was cancelled when signaling the lane change, that if I pushed up or down on the turn signal lever at the end of the lever it would cancel the cruise control. I tried pushing down on the lever closer to the steering column and that didn't cancel out the cruise control. I don't know if it was just a coincidence or it just wasn't malfunctioning at the time.
I have been noticing some serious electrical issues in the last few weeks with my 2014 Silverado 1500. It started with the "anti-theft detterent" system acting up and not allowing me to start the car. After flipping the key a few times, it went away. Then the problem progressed to when turning the key it was if the battery was dead. Everything would go black (lights, info center, dic, etc). After a few minutes of sitting, I could turn the key and it would start up no problems. Then it all just went away for about 2 weeks. Then just a few days ago, I was turning into a shopping center and the truck just died. The dash, the lights, the engine, everything. I nearly took out the entrance sign of the parking lot. Hanging with my back end in traffic I quickly popped it neutral, restarted the truck, and pulled in. I couldn't recreate the problem. I drove to autozone and had them check the battery and alternator. Everything was fine. About an hour later, in the drive thru at chick fil a, I placed the car in park, received my food, and as soon as I shifted out of park the truck died again, along with the dash and everything else. Restarted and drove home. I spent about 30 mins driving around the block and sitting in the driveway trying to recreate the problem. I have yet to recreate.

The vehicle was taken to sisbarro Buick GMC (425 w boutz rd, las cruces, nm 88005, phone number: (800) 215-8021) where it was diagnosed that the freon line had a hole coming from the condenser and needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle had a design flaw and was waiting for a bracket that goes to the line from the compressor. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.
While in motion and turning the truck loses power and steering and says stabilitrack needs service then the truck lost all power and could not be restarted. Had the truck jumped and while driving the ac went out and the stabilitrack warning came on and the steering became jerky and difficult. Once parked and shut off the truck will again not start.
While driving my 2014 Chevy Silverado around 42000 miles I stopped at a light on a highway and lost all electrical power and the service steering assist came on dash. I was able to restart the truck and go. It happened multiple times. While driving it around a bend on a highway the truck shut off I lost all steering the steering locked up and I almost crashed, the service assist light came on again. This happened multiple times when turning. On 4-13-17 I brought the truck to a Chevy dealer it was was still under warranty. They could not reproduce the problem. 8-24-17 I brought the truck in for a recall #17276 for reprogramming the power steering assist control modular. After the recall the truck started doing it more often the same day but the steering did not lock up but the truck shut off when I tried making a turn on a highway. The service steering assist light came on again. On 9-7-17 I brought the truck back to the Chevy dealer ( Chevy dealer now changed its name from oasis to quality ) complaining that the recall did not work. They said that the recall was not for that. But I believe it is the same problem. They Chevy dealer drove the truck for 10 miles and it happened to them.they charged me for the time to trouble shoot the problem and found a loose ground wire #G218 under the dash causing the problem. I have driving the truck for 2 days now and it seems fine. The issue is that they made me pay for something they should have fixed the first time and I believe that this should have been part of recall # 17276, because I believe part of recall #17276 had to do with low voltage to the steering modular. A loose ground will give you low voltage. Any way this is very dangerous and I have read online of others having the same problem. Please make a recall about this loose ground wire that makes the truck shut off and lose steering before someone dies. Thank you

The vehicle restarted after one attempt. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer where the cause of the failure could not be determined. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 17V414000 (steering). The vehicle was taken to chuck nicholson auto (7190 oh-39, millersburg, oh 44654) where the recall repair was performed, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was aware of the failure and opened case number: 8-3308180719. The contact was informed that someone would be in contact with him. The failure mileage was approximately 43,000.

The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Eddy's Chevrolet Cadillac (8801 E kellogg dr, wichita, ks) diagnosed that the battery was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The contact received notification of the vehicle being involved in a tsb. The vehicle was taken to davis-moore Chevrolet (8200 w kellogg dr, wichita, ks) where a software update was performed; however, the failure recurred on six occasions. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 54,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving 5 mph, the steering wheel seized, the vehicle stalled, and the oil indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to big M Chevrolet (704 N dixie blvd, radcliff, ky, 40160) on September 1, 2017 to be repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 17V414000 (steering, electrical system); however, the remedy failed to repair the vehicle. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the recurring failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,914.
