This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.

I know that the S10 was recalled for the wipers problem and looked it up and called the dealership and they told me that the Silverado's were not recalled. Then I called the 800 number for Chevy and they told me that they did not feel that it was important enough to recall. My main concern is that it is the same exact problem as the S10's and it has the same wiper motor. So why will they not fix this problem too.
Intermittently windshields wipers become inoperable, obstructing view of the driver. A recall has been issued on vehicle make and model; however, this vehicle was not included due to VIN. The dealer has been notified.
I contacted GM about the failure of the windshield wipers and how they sometimes just quit while I am driving and they told me that my VIN number hadn't been recalled yet and when it did they would contact me. When I didn't get a responce from them I went to my dealer and they told me that they knew about the problem and their wasn't any thing they could do until they got my VIN number in that recall but I think this is a big safety issue cause we all know how it rains in Oklahoma.
Transmission reverse clutcehes went out at 52,000 miles. Dealer was unwilling to negotiate.. item#2 windshiled wipers would stop working. I would jiggle wiper module and they would start. I took the truck to showcase Chevrolet and told them there was a bulletin was out and they tolfd me my truck was not covered. Iwas charged 90 plus dollars for the part and labor. I think this is a safety issue and should have been covered by the dealer.
Windshield wipers work intermitently. At onset will go through 3 to 5 cycles then stop. On occasion I will hear a buzzing noise. Depending on how rough the road may work and stop again. I live in S cal. And it rains rather hard so much so, that on many occasion I've had to pull over immediately until the rain slackens. I've been following your web complaints and I see they are up to 181complaints. This I'm sure doesn't take into account the complaints made directly to the dealers or the customers that've elected to make the repairs on their own. And they've had a recall on the GM side of the house which has the same parts as Chevrolet.

Windshield wipers malfunctioned due to a defective circuit board which caused the wipers to be inoperative, resulting in visual difficulty, and may cause a crash. There is GMC recall on this problem, but this vehicle is not included due to VIN although it has the same problem.

I believe this failure is the same as described in NHTSA campaign id number 98V150001 please help me the manufacturer and dealer seem to ignore the fact that these vehicals were recalled for this problem concerning windshield wiper motor.
While driving in rain windshield wipers won't come on at all. When they do come on, they will work for a while, then they'll stop working. Took vehicle to dealer, and they said it was windshield wiper motor.
