The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. While attempting to accelerate from a stop sign, the vehicle began to shutter while turning the steering wheel. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the power steering pump and rack failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred several times. The contact also stated that when adding fuel, it began to leak out of the fuel terminal. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
