The vehicle was towed to the residence and then the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the timing chain had failed. The vehicle was towed to another independent mechanic for a second opinion, where it was confirmed that the timing chain had fractured, and the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 151,000.
The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to stop at a stop light, the vehicle unexpectedly stalled. The contact was able to place the vehicle in neutral and pulled over to the side of the road. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were flashing after the failure. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the timing chain had fractured and went into the engine. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure; however, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
The car was completely empty of oil even though it wasn-??t time for an oil change and there were no leaks or holes. It end up destroying the motor on the vehicle as well. The oil light came on and then the car stop work while driving on the highway. The car was towed to AAmco Transmission and Total Car Care 15282 Veterans Memorial Pkwy Wentzville, MO 63385. 636-223-5113. That-??s where the car was assessed at and we found out at that time what the issues was. I then found out this exact issue was on recall for another vin numbers. I call the manufacturer to make them aware of what had taken place with this particular vehicle and was told it wasn-??t part of the recall. I then asked even though I have proof that it is the same issues. I was just given a claim number for the call and nothing else happened. So if this happened to our car and thankfully my husband was driving and not my daughter that day it could have been a different situation and she would have not knew how to get it off to the side of the highway while waiting for a tow truck. There was no warning until that day because we were keeping up with our car maintenance.
Engine Problems Due to Excessive Oil Consumption, Rattling, and Failure. Then There Is The Electrical Issues Which Would Drive Anyone Insane causing certain functions not to work. The constant dimming of the screen it self.Im very upset cause im a single mom of a college student, I can-??t afford these kind of issues.
The gaskets in the rear of the motor went bad and it blew out while driving down the highway. My mechanic said it is due to a defect in the vacume system. I replaced the motor for about $7300. A few weeks later, my mechanic wanted to check it out again. He said he had 4 equinox vehicles come in with the motors blown in the exact same manner. He researched the cause and had to drill something, or it would have happened again.

My car engine blew do to an over oil consumption. There appears to have been a recall but I was never notified. My car is at a dealership and the cost is 11k for new engine do I have any recourse? Timing chain replaced june 2023 by libertyville chevrolet. Libertyville il No one mentioned this engine recall to me then either.
The exhaust manifold cracked and failed. The failed part was not retained by the Chevrolet dealer repair shop. A safety issue arose as exhaust gases entered the passenger compartment via the vehicle's air circulation system. The failure of the exhaust manifold was confirmed by the dealer and replaced at considerable cost (i.e., $2200). No other parties inspected the failed part. There was a check engine light illuminated on the dashboard. The dealer retrieved a P0411 diagnostic trouble code and believed that it was related to the exhaust manifold leak. The exhaust manifold leak first appeared on November 1, 2023.
My cars engine started throwing a cam shaft position code. This happened even after a mechanic fixed the part 3 times. The engine failed completely at 87,500 miles.
Excess oil consumption resulting in having to get oil changed monthly. Oil can be full one day and empty the next without any warning. I have read it is a defected piston however the special circumstances gm was granted rather than a recall has expired according to gm customer service. I was never sent anything in this exception either
Recall for oil burning consumption I took car to dealership to fix but I-??m continuing to have the same problems and still no oil light comes on and it continues to use oil some where and it never leaks onto the ground and new problems now it-??s jerking when at a stop if idle for to long a warning light says reduced engine power. Very unsafe in traffic

The contact and her two children occupied the disabled vehicle until another motorist assisted with pushing the vehicle to the shoulder of the roadway. The contact requested Roadside Assistance and the personnel attempted to jumpstart the vehicle; however, the vehicle failed to restart. The contact stated that Roadside Assistance attempted to jumpstart the vehicle and the contact heard an unusual clicking sound; however, the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where the vehicle was diagnosed with a failed timing chain and a failed water pump. The contact was informed that the timing chain and the water pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 110,163.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request" I believe it is a problem with the engine. Currently at Freeway Chevrolet in Chandler, AZ How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk" Car repeatedly cuts off when driving and could have been a danger to my safety and that of others on the road/ highway. There was potential for an accident. My concern is that there were recalls to fix this issue, however, the dealer where I purchased the vehicle (Jones Ford Casa Grande, AZ) did not pursue the issue, nor did the previous owner and I was not notified. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center" Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others" Full inspection and recommendation by authorized Chevy dealer, (Freeway Chevrolet) included at an attachment. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? The first time the car cut off was just prior to November 26, 2023 and the "check engine" came on. I purchased the vehicle in May of this year and have been enjoying my car. I want to be able to continue driving it and would like to get the recall service completed.
My car is burning oil I only drive to work which is only 20 miles away I put oil in 2 days ago and it-??s rattling and sounds like it-??s knocking and is a quart low it says it-??s at 54% till my next oil change also my oil cap has condensation under it.
