The horn system is not loud enough for the road. It fells to alert other vehicles on the road. I almost got into an accident and the horn failed to alert the person who was about to hit me. The horn can not penetrate another vehicles interior until the vehicle is 1 foot away. This is not enough time for the other vehicle to react.

I was driving down highway 295 in New Jersey doing 70 mph when I heard some knockin under my hood of my car... I get near the paulsboro exit when I hear the knocking again I get to the exit and my power steering isnt working so I forcefully turn the wheel to pull over I turn on my hazards on pop the hood and I see my serpentine belt is off the rotation track and I get my phone and use the light and see the alternator hanging by a wire hanging underneath my car. I called Chevy told them what happened to my car they towed my car to Chevy certified mechanics I asked how did this happen and nobody knows why my 2017 car tried to kill me on 295

Purchased new cruse hatchback in Dec.2017, with 3 miles on odometer from (xxxxx) westlake, oh. Problems started in February, just stopped car, I was still in it and alarm went off, then, onstar sent me a notification my car has been stolen, car did not recognize remote with on screen message.called dealer service advisor stated I must have electronic item in cup holder confusing the car, I only have a smartphone that stays in the drivers door or in my pocket, I kept hitting the start button& remote and eventually the alarm stopped and it was back to normal reconizing remote. In March 2018, while on freeway going 60mph all lights on dashboard lit up and speed went by itself to 30mph from highway speed of 60mph, I pulled to side of highway, kept hitting on off dash switch and eventually restarted and was ok, called dealer right then I was told the car went into safety mode, why I asked and service advisor stated all new vehicles have computer problems, I asked if they can look at it and I was told there is nothing they can do for me concerning my computer problems. In April arriving home from work, my car was stopped a message stated no remote in car, wouldn't let me unlock any doors, no manual unlock only electric switches on car so I was trapped in car, when I call the dealer, a advisor told me after my warranty is up that's how the dealer makes money fixing electrical&computer problems, I've leased 2 cars from this dealership previous to purchasing this $28,000 cruse, I believe I have a lemon, I almost lost my city bus driving job, by car malfunctions not fixable to my 1st new car purchase since 2000, if there is a recall on this please someone fix it, I love this car but my hopes are dwindling on Chevrolet cruse (8) times I've I had major problems with this car. Almost 6 months to the day of purchase, I was planning a trip that required 3.5 hours of highway driving. The day before my trip, I had an unfamiliar alert, so I took it to autonation under warranty. They found the car had been in a major accident where the front end had been "straightened" and advised me not to risk driving it on the trip. A major accident where the front end had to be straightened was not disclosed to me. Autonation told me to go to offleaseonly, because the warranty was voided by repairs not being done by a Chevy dealership. Autonation showed me, while on the lift, the evidence. I contacted offlease and they did not even look at my vehicle and told me that they could not help me. I sent photos and they said they could not help and said I should contact Chevy corporate offices and fight for the warranty. I returned to autonation and paid a diagnostic fee of $175.73 and got specifics on costs which I shared with offlease--$2500 for mechanical repairs and structural repairs would start at $1500 with no guarantee the front end would be as safe and that correcting the shoddy work on the frame could degrade its structure and stability. Autonation said that they are notorious for selling cars like this. Offlease representatives declined to work with me. I provided with the recommendation by autonation that offlease should claim a loss through their insurance and replace my car. Offlease declined and referred me to pepboys for repair, but when asked the estimated cost, they never responded. I only drive in town. I have had to rent/borrow a car for travel to extended distances to avoid the fear. Offlease claims to inspect vehicles well & care about their customers; but they have shown no interest in my safety.

While driving a very distracting 'warning message' will appear on the information screen which takes the drivers Focus away from the road for an extended period. This is especially distracting at night since the message will light up the inside of the vehicle to the point of affecting visibility. This message must be acknowledged to remove it from the information screen. Photograph is attached which illustrates vehicle was in motion at the time the message was generated distracting the driver severely. The message says, "taking your eyes off the road too long too often could cause a crash resulting in injury or death to you or others. Focus your attention on driving". this is quite ironic as it is an extreme distraction that takes time to read. This is a random occurrence that may happen several times in a day or once in a week.

I pulled into my car port and noticed that my car had already shut off, not knowing that it was still in drive. I left my foot on the brake, took off my seat belt and opened my door to exit. The car started and lurched forward as I was partially out of the vehicle. My wife was still in the vehicle and managed to get it into park before I was run over as it would have also hit my motorcycle that was parked in front of it. I find that the car has a "auto stop" which turns off the engine while you are stopped and in gear, then the engine starts automatically when you remove your foot from the brake. Any other time your car will not start while in gear but with this it starts if you want it to or not, even when in gear getting out of the car causing injury or death. I myself suffered some bruising and minor cuts.
