When the car is stopped, the brakes and in Drive or Reverse, the engine jumps-hiccup. The car move slightly forward every time. It has no check-engine light or code. The mechanics all said it could be a manufacturer defect. It happens mostly in the morning. Most of the time it works properly. The car has 45,000 miles. Also the belt tensioner has been raplaced two times in a month, Is still giving issues.
My radio was getting hot all the time I had a touch screen the dash would get hot and the glove box on top got hot. The sides of consoles would get hot to. I think my car had no engine shield it only happen when my car was running other ppl with 2014 cruzes say the samething.
My engine light came on and I took it to two different local mechanics and both confirmed the issue was the catalyst converter. One informed there was a recall and after some research found it was true. I called my dealership and they told me it was vin specific and that mine was not pulling up any recalls. I search on this website and indeed no recalls. This issue started at around 50k miles and they did not want to take any responsibility. It is what it is but I plan to drive the car like that as long as I can.
When parking the car and shifting the gear selector to the P position, the vehicle fails to recognize the car is in park - an error message appears that states 'shift to park'. the car will not shut off as it doesn't recognize the car is in park. I have had no choice, but to leave the car running while I went into work since it would not allow me to turn it off. Also, when this happens I cannot park the car in my garage as the exhaust fumes fill the garage. The problem is sporadic and happens about 70% of the time that I drive the car.

I am having three types of issues with my Cruze it has been popping the trunk open and when I get to about 10 miles per hour it makes a very loud shifting sound and my latest is when I put fuel in it the car acts like it doesn't want to start back up when I get it running I have to let it sit turned off for about ten minutes which is a pain I have always bought Chevy products and would like to in the future but if I don't get any reply to my concern I may have to look at other options
The car is a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze lt that was just purchased from a used car dealer and within the first week the engine retards itself and throws a check engine light. The code reads P0325 when read. The wiring has been checked out and has nothing wrong. The knock sensor has been replaced twice. After being replaced, the code will go away anywhere from a few minutes to a month and then the same issue starts all over again.
Over the last 3 years, I have had the same issues occurring. The engine overheats and a message that reads "A/C off high engine temp" appears. The hose was replaced, and it was ok for awhile, but the problem has reoccurred twice more. The engine gasket cover had to be replaced as well, and looks like it is leaking again, and over the last 3 years randomly, a message will appear that states to service stabiltrak. I've had a coil pack replaced and the message went away, but reappears every now and then, and upon start up of car most days, runs very rough and I have to wait a minute before putting into gear. The overheating and rough engine problems keep reocurring no matter what work I have done to it. Most recent issues with the ac off again, as of today, 12/8/2020.
Vehicle may jerk violently during de-acceleration from expressway speeds. This condition may result in loss of control - especially during winter/ice like road conditions. To duplicate the issue: 1 - operate automatic transmission for at least 40 minutes at expressway speeds of approx 70mph 2 - when exiting expressway ramp the vehicle will downshift. 3 - sometimes during down shifting - there is a lurch or impact like feeling so intense that the driver may believe they were rear ended by another vehicle. This matter was brought to the attempt of GM dealers and GM corporate and they have failed to resolve the issue. Dealer 1 response was similar to "it's your driving habits" and "we reset the computer so it can re-learn how you drive". this failed to resolve issue. Dealer 2 response - we can duplicate the issue - then later we can't duplicate the issue. Dealer also advised they emailed GM for additional support. GM states they never received the email. Vehicle has spent greater than 30 days in the shop for the transmission like issues. As a firefighter - it is my professional opinion that this condition may result in substantial harm to the driver or occupants of vehicle if this condition happens while operating the motor vehicle on ice or snow and possibly rain like conditions. Where it is my belief that such injury could result in death or grave bodily injury. This issue has happened on/off since 01/01/2019 from 68K miles to current miles of 98K. GM/dealers have indicated that all vehicle software is up to date and there are no engine codes.
When I drive the lights on the inside with go off and my car stops while driving or taking turns. One time I opened the hood and touch a hose or hire and it came back on. Sometimes I have to try and turn the key while it stops while driving and restart it in the middle of a highway or turn.
My car continuously loses coolant in a short amount of time. It begins to smoke and the engine overheats. This happened while I was making a 30 minute trip across town. I was on a city street not exceeding more than 50 mph. I had the air conditioning on and I had all of my fluids filled a few days prior.
Chevy Cruze 2014 will turn off when I turn on the ac. The car always thinks it is overheating. I bought this car new no miles on it in 2014. I always have issues with this car. Already had the battery change three times. I had to change the thermostat recently. The front windows motor stop working.
We have a well maintained 2014 Chevy cruise. It's my daughters car and it completely shuts down in the middle of driving it..... dangerous. There are a lot of complaints out there but no one seems to do anything about it.
The turbo charger is known for going out. This can cause loss of power- even on highways. My turbo lost power on the highway, causing my speed to drop down to 50 mph. I am in a lot of Chevy Cruze forums and this is the main complaint. Your speed can be normal and then all of a sudden just drop down to barely anything. This could cause someone to rear-end you.
Sometimes my car turns off out of no where while im turning. Says something about airbags on the screen and than turns off. When im at a red light the car wants to turn off. When im done putting gas and I turn it back on it takes a while to turn back on. It has been doing it before and it had stopped for a while but its starting again. Almost caused me to get hit when it turned off while I was turning after a stop sign and about to go on the highway it turns on after I keep trying and says to open the drivers window after I turn it on from it turning off.
The aux signal come on over the radio I can't listen to the radio and every now and again the onstar lady comes on without anyone pushing a button I turned off the blue tooth as well. Also every 2-3 months my car battery dies without cause every light is off this occurs when the radio starts acting out more frequently this has happened since I bought the car and the dealer couldn't figure it out either so I had to buy a battery charger because I never know when my battery will die. I even changed the battery this year N still it dies without cause
The radio freezes up while I am driving. None of the radio buttons function. I cannot turn the radio off, change channel, adjust volume, etc. I just had the special coverage repair done for the water intrusion on the side detection system. The radio worked perfectly fine before the special coverage work was performed. I went back to the dealer and they indicated that it is not related to the water intrusion and it would be $120 just to connect the computer to the car. He told me if it is the radio, you will have to pay for it out of pocket. I saw a new special coverage bulletin about the negative battery cable clamp not being able to remain tight to the battery terminal on the internet. I need to know if it applies to my 2014 Chevy Cruze because I did not receive any information by mail on this. Thank you.
