Car all of a sudden started to slow down on the highway throwing all kinds of codes like service stabillitrac, throttle body position sensor, pressure intake manifold and lots of other ones
I have had my 2014 Chevy Cruze for 2 years now and have kept up with regular maintenance. My vehicle rocks back and forth while on the brakes, there-??s an constant issue with the traction control system, my automatic lights don-??t work (I have to many turn on the light in order for the brake lights to turn on), the vehicle shakes side to side when braked, and so much more. When I take the vehicle to be looked at every mechanic and shop tells me there-??s nothing wrong or they don-??t know.
The car keeps overheating and it has been to the mechanic multiple times and the problem exist. If I get on the highway my transmission hot engine idle light comes on. I have had a transmission replaced and a lot of other things repaired and the issue continues
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while in the drive position and attempting to park, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated and lunged forward. The driver immediately removed the ignition key to turn off the vehicle. During the failure, the brake pedal was being pressed. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact indicated that the failure had occurred on several occasions. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 36,597. The consumer stated she no longer owns this vehicle. THE CONSUMER STATED THE MANUFACTURER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED WITHOUT ANY FURTHER EFFORT TO REPAIR THE FAILURE. Consumer no longer owns the vehicle.
I entered a grocery store parking lot and drove to the far end to park. As I was pulling into a spot and slowed to about 2 or 3 miles an hour to stop the vehicle and exit the car it suddenly took off at a very fast speed. I could not stop it using the brakes. The car went up and over a grassy island that had about a foot of frozen snow(ice) on it. The car flew off the island and continued at this high speed heading toward a hill. As this was happening I was trying to stop the car using the brake to no avail. By the grace of god the car stopped about ten feet before slamming into the hill. A tow truck was called and the car was taken to our mechanic. Upon completion of the repairs needed to the items damaged under the car I am able to drive it again. The mechanic's invoice reads run away car and lists these repairs: Throttle body and /or gasket--remove and replace & clean - 1.4L eng.turbocharger, accelerator pedal - remove and replace - accelerator foot pedal.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated while driving, the vehicle failed to accelerate above 37 mph. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the turbo charger needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified and referred the contact to the local dealer. The failure mileage was 122,000.
Automatic transmission failure can result in vehicle rolling backwards for 3-5 seconds in duration after releasing brake while. While on flat ground - this causes danger to other driver as the expect other vehicles to be moving after a traffic light turns green. While on an incline - this condition may pose a danger to pedestrians and other motorists as the automatic transmission will allow the vehicle to roll backwards a great distance. The distance and speed of travel backwards will vary based on angle of incline of street or road. When this condition occurs - the driver is completely unaware and may not be able to apply the brake in enough time to prevent collision with other vehicles or pedestrians. This condition happens when: 1 - transmission is hot (about 40 min drive time) 2 - brake is depressed for longer than 3 seconds while sitting at light. 3 - releasing brake may or may not result in this condition happening. Service 1 - the vehicle shows no codes for transmission failure. 2 - multiple GM dealers have confirmed software of vehicle is up to date. 3 - multiple dealers have mixed statements if they can duplicate the issue or not. Dealer 1 says - "it's your driving habits. We reset the computer and it will re-learn how you drive." Dealer 2 says - "we were able to duplicate your issue and are awaiting a response from GM" - when speaking to GM they indicated they never received an email form the dealer. Condition was first seen at approximately 68K miles and has continued on/off until current mileage of 98K. Dealer and GM corporate have had vehicle for greater than 30 days and are unable to provide resolution. As a firefighter - it is my professional opinion that this condition may present a risk to public welfare.
No warning turbo failure that cases vehicle to lose power suddenly I was on freeway when engine light came on and a engine power reduced warning came on went to auto zone and they said it was a P0299 have seen a lot of info on the internet net saying that the turbo has gone out this is bad when your at freeway speeds
Pulling into a parking space at 5mph, suddenly accelerated out of control went up a bank net and hit a tree trunk. Had to be towed to a GM body shop. Damage is $7000 dollars. No injury to driver.
In a parking lot, going about 5mph, car suddenly accelerated out of control and went up a slope crashed into a tree stump and grazed the back of a parked car with no occupants. Air bags did not go off and I was not injured but front hood detached and I had it towed to my dealers body shop. Happened yesterday, called police but they do not come to private lots. Exchanged info with the parked car owners when they returned.
Acceleration notably sluggish, taken to dealership for concern 3 years ago with complaints and was told there were no issues. Took car back to dealership this year due to check engine code. Turbo engine defective, going to cost $2200 to repair. Under $60,000 mile power train but just hit the 5 year warranty 2 days prior to calling dealership and GM. Dealership unwilling to offer financial assistance due to missing problem during original complaints 3 years ago. Took car to another dealership, which found additional $2000 in repairs that would need to take place in order for turbo repair to be effective. Car is not safe to drive, with likelihood it would break down in 10 min to multiple leaks and broken parts original dealership missed and failed to discuss. Car now costs $3400 to repair, GM only willing to help with $600. Car too expensive to repair and too dangerous to drive.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. While stopped at a red light, the vehicle stalled and "stabilizer", "traction control", and a wrench icon illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle had to be pushed to the side of the road. The contact stated that the failure occurred one other time. The vehicle was towed to kelley Chevrolet (5220 value ave, fort wayne, in 46805) to be diagnosed, but they were not able to replicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 35,600.
Driving home at 9pm on a high speed/traffic highway, we had all electricity/steering suddenly go out, then when it came back on popped up with a "service stabilitrak " message. Luckily, it came back on before a wreck but scared all of us to pieces. The car was being driven at the posted 70mph speed limit, but started to decelerate when power was lost. This happened on 07/08/19. Today, 07/11/19 we had to jump the car and the turn signals no longer do the little "click" noise, and the dash screen/backup camera won't come on, although the radio still somehow works. Also on lunch break today, car was dead, key wouldn't come out of the ignition till the car was jump started. As this seems to be a major issue with the car, why hasn't it been recalled?
Multiple dash and system failures resulting in stalls and loss of steering and power. Essentially locking up. Very dangerous conditions in traffic. Most recently dash indicating anti-thief deterrent system warning. These conditions have happened over the last full year. Dealer diagnosis was nill. I have been having to review public videos for help. May or may not be a negative cable battery issue but Chevrolet has yet to recall this! I am fearing for my safety.

Whiteman Chevrolet (79-89 dix ave, glens falls, NY 12801, (518) 832-9928) was contacted and stated that the VIN was not included in a recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,000.

Car will turn off while driving. Ive owned this car for a little over a year and just started doing this 5 times in the last 2 weeks. This has happened while on highway in traffic, twice in town in traffic. The car is in motion on the higway when this happened, it also has happened turning onto higway with other cars behind me I almost got rear ended by a car behind me cause the car lost power! it has also turn itself off and on in park. This needs to be fixed before there is a major accident that causes bodly harm!!! this is a safety hazarrd!!! I bought extended warranty on this car. I have an appointment with the dealership July 31st to find the issue. I also have contacted GM. I know that there was a recall for ignition problems concerning this vehilce in 2014, when you pull up my VIN there has been no recall. I am very concerned for my safty in this car. I have had a friend that has a code reader look and it said there is an engine issue"??" I do not want to have to get an attorney involved but I will if this becomes an issue. This is very scary!!!!
