Consumer had been experiencing intermittent brake problems, one of which resulted in an accident. Although at first the dealer claimed that the brakes were functioning properly, the consumer was later informed that there was a recall on the vehicle control monitor, which is directly associated with braking problems.
Four mph rear end collision. Stood on brakes and vehicle failed to respond to stop. I have since taken the vehicle in for a software change recall. The brakes seem less effective than they were before. I think General Motors has hoodwinked you folks with this make believe fix. The brake system on these vehicles is a serious problem and it is not being addressed properly. I am never confident that the brakes will work in a hard braking situation. Please help more than you have at this point. GM has some very deaf ears on this subject.
While driving at slow speed brake booster and master cylinder failed, causing total failure of brakes, consumer had to coast vehicle until vehicle stopped.
Driving on U.S.95 East, traffic slowed down and stopped, and I put on my brakes and I didn`T stop. I continued pushing on the brakes and they made a strange sound and it felt like a thumping under my foot (right). Then I hit the person in front of me.

Sewell Cadillac, Chevrolet dealer, @ 701 baronne at girod, new orleans, Louisiana. Quoted me $2900 to fix, said a valve failed and have to replace whole system. The replacement looks nothing like what I had. Am I the only one this has happened to? also I was in new orleans at the time of the failure, I was in the middle of mardi gras parade traffic, for 2 1/2hrs. Of stop and go cars, & people walking in front of my Blazer. I was extremely lucky that no one was hurt because of this failure, with the exception of my nerves.I don't feel that the system should have failed, on such a young vehicle. God forbid it would have gone while on the highway. Thankyou for hearing me out. Also, I presently have a file # with Chevy about this situation, the number is 000107487.quinta daniels was the representative I spoke with, on Monday, March 6,2000.

Erratic performance of ABS has caused consumer to downshift in order to stop vehicle which in time, has affected transmission. Transmisson needed to be replaced. It took 45 days for the vehicle to be repaired, and the consumer had to pay for most of the costly repairs. Consumer wants to be reimbursed.
I was involved in an accident on May 6, 1999. I had a vehicle pull out in front of me going about 65 mph. I ended up T- boning him on his driver side. My air bag did not deploy, my seatbelt did not hold me in position to where I hit the rearveiw mirror with my forehead and broke it. The road surface was wet because it had rained earlier. The boy in the other vehicle was driving an older model S-10 Blazer the impact throw him to the passenger side of his vehicle. He substained minor injuries while am suffering from severe whiplash, back-aches, head-aches and numbness. I strongly feel with the impact I took the air bag should"ve deployed and the seat belt should"ve held me in place and brakes would"ve slowed me down sooner. In the police report it is marked no for safety device on but it was on because I remember having to reach my cell phone to call for helpbut at that time it had locked me in and I had to release the lever to move to where the cell phone had falling. I called the police department and talked to dan mack who investigated the accident. He said he agreed with me because I would"ve substained more injuries. As of my knowledge the police report was never changed. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and services.
I received a recall notice from Chevrolet. I took the Blazer to century Chevrolet in broolfield Colorado. They said my Blazer doesn't come under this recall. I have had 1 accident and 1 near accident because the brakes failed. What do I need to do to get this fixed short of a court battle?
When ever the ABS brakes are applied they make a chattering noise. The problem is intermittent. Pedal goes to the floor. Consumer took vehicle to dealer & mechanic cannot duplicate problem. Manufacturer has no solution to correct the noise, but a recall will soon be made.
