The airbag never deployed. I contacted Chevrolet about this problem and they told me that they "in their opinion the airbag was not defective because the car did not come to an abrupt stop". my question is how would they know what happened if they never asked how much damage there was or looked at the car or even asked me to send them pictures of the car? I think they just couldn't even be bothered. If the driver hadn't been belted in, she surely would have hit the windshield.
