Using the car for night driving was the first time for me in my recently purchased, used 2015 Cadillac Srx and as I was coming to a right turn lane in an intersection with similar oncoming traffic pattern and cars flashing brights, I dimmed my lights. I did not see the man riding a bicycle with his flashing bicycle lights, nor his florescent wear strips within a safe enough distance to avoid him when he decided to cross. Fortunately, my passenger screamed just in time for me and he abandoned his attempt and decided to bail into a culvert ditch, I did not hit him. I stopped and his jeans were just torn and he said he was okay, but, I will not put those dims on again.

Cadillac division, GM llc C/O analytics consulting llc claim number: 1218800 we received a letter referencing issues with moisture to accumulate in headlamp capsules and/or dimming halogen headlights. The instructions were to take the vehicle to the dealership pay the $800/$1600 and get reimbursed with 90 days. If the headlight capsules are faulty would it be more productive to recall the headlights capsules and replace them for free. Our headlights need to be replaced however pay $1600. Is out of the questions. I have spoken to GMC customer service but they just transfer me to analytics consulting llc who insist the repair/replacement must be done first for reimbursement. Per the analytics consulting consultant and phone recording the deadline for reimbursement was June 30th which was during the height of the virus. Again because the headlight capsules is faulty a recall should be issued so that in these uncertain economic times can get the issue resolved with out having to come out of pocket $800/$1600. Because of the dimness of the headlights I am cautious about driving after dusk, and I use my high beams.

2015 Cadillac Srx has a safety issue related to headlights. The light are too dim at night. This car should not be driven at night because of a collision that can result in death. GM knows about the problem but ignore it asking owner to replace the headlights with an existing design that even parts do not exists. GM must issue a clear warning to all owner about the danger of driving at night and issue an immediate recall and come up with a fix to the problem and not just a replacement of the headlight assembly with the same old design.

The headlights on low beam do not project light. I have to use my high beams at night, which causes on coming traffic to shine their high beams in my eyes. The low beams are so dim that I have stopped driving my car at night.

The contact owns a 2015 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that moisture entered the headlamp which caused the headlights to shine dim while driving at night or in low light conditions. The contact received a letter from the manufacturer where they have acknowledged a defect with the headlamps. The contact was provided a timeline in which to have the headlamps replaced out of pocket and would later be reimbursed by the manufacturer for the replacement of the headlamps. The contact took the vehicle to service Chevrolet Cadillac (1212 ambassador caffery pkwy, lafayette, la 70506) where the vehicle was inspected and it was confirmed that the headlamps were defective. The vehicle was not repaired due to the replacement headlamps not being available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,000.

Received a safety notice from Cadillac as part of class action lawsuit. Headlights may be subject to dimming and/or complete loss of the headlights due to corrosion from moisture within the sealed headlight unit. Took my 2015 Srx in for service and they said the headlights need immediate attention. Because this is not a recall it is up to the individual to pay for the repair and then seek reimbursement from Cadillac. Due to the extreme safety concerns, loss of headlights and potential for a nighttime crash with resulting injury or death, I'm asking you to investigate this for a potential recall. Because the unit is sealed, I can't provide photos that support my claim that moisture has built up inside (behind) the headlights. This has been a known problem for over a year and may have resulted in crashes and injuries that are unknown to me.

My certified 2015 Cadillac Srx left the dealership as an unsafe vehicle! the headlights (or lack thereof) are barely visible at night or in the rain. While using the headlights, there is not much difference when the switch is off or when it is on. This has led to several "close calls' while driving. In researching this problem, it appears there are tens of thousands of 2010-15 Srx's that have unsafe headlights. But yet, no recall. I am wondering how many more complaints it will take? then to add the two lawsuits, and still nothing except for a half-hearted letter from Cadillac "offering" to reimburse the out-of-pocket expense to fix the problem. In review, I purchased my first Cadillac, expecting a top of the line vehicle. In return, I now have a vehicle that I can only drive during daylight hours and sunny weather.

Unable to drive vehicle at night due to malfunctioning low beam headlights. They appear to be on but only produce an extremely dim light. So dim it's as if they are not on at all. This forces you to use high beams which blinds oncoming traffic. Extremely dangerous and apparently a problem for most Srx owners. Amazingly there is no recall for this deadly mechanical failure.

Cadillac sent me a letter advising that my car may have an issue with moisture in the headlights. Their proposed solution is to have me pay my dealer just to inspect the car, then pay the dealer to replace the headlights if necessary, then file a claim for reimbursement from Cadillac, which they may or may not approve. My dealer confirmed that process and told me that my out of pocket cost would be about $1,700. Shouldn't this be safety recall that Cadillac would fix without me having to pay first and then wait for months to possibly be reimbursed? thanks for your assistance.
