Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V381000 (air bags); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The dealer (mark christopher auto center, 2131 E convention center way, Ontario, ca 91764, (909) 321-5860) confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact received notification from tk holdings, alerting her that the takata air bag manufacturer filed for bankruptcy. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Takata recall--- I've received a notice that the airbags were recalled and potentially hazardous, which can result in death. I've contacted dealership but was informed that takata has not yet given them the replacement parts to remedy the potential danger. Can you please contact me to inform me what steps to take. Takata recall I have received a recall for airbags in my vehicle I'm scared to drive my vehicle especially when my kids are in the car. Just to know the airbags could come out at anytime. I love my car but would like to drive it knowing everything is okay an we are safe.

Have called Cadillac dealer several times over six month period and they are not concerned about need to repair or do not know anything about it. Today when I threatened an online complaint they suddenly could order the part and S/B able to handle in next seven days.
Takata recall airbag inflators, have not yet been replaced. I received my recall notice in 2016 and have taken my vehicle to ron carter dealership in friendswood, tx where the vehicle was purchased, however, I was informed that the replacement part was not in and it will be indefinitely. The truck has a hard time accelerating when trying to keep speed or trying to go to a higher speed, also a noise is coming from the vehicle after I turn on the ignition. I was informed by ron carter Cadillac that I needed to file a claim once I receive the recall notice to fie a claim on or about 10/2017. I have been trying to get my vehicle recall taken care of since 11/2017 not to long after I purchased the vehicle approximately July 2017
"takata recall" I have called dealerships in my area (ken batchelor & cavendar) & according to their service departments the takata airbag inflators are not available; nor, do they have any idea if they ever will be. Leaving me & my family in danger of injury or death!

The contact called crest Cadillac (2121 rosa L parks blvd, nashville, tn 37228; 615-200-8898), but they were unable to provide the repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 153,555. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Dealer has yet to resolve the takata airbag inflators for my model. There has been pently of time resolve and replacements have been pending for over a year and a half.
"service airbag" appears on the information screen and the airbag light illuminates on the dash every time the vehicle is driven. Cadillac dealerships have been contacted and we have been told parts are not available but, we can drive the vehicle with the warnings on.
Takata recall ('takata') has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2007-2011 Cadillac Escalade, GM has submitted to NHTSA a petition for inconsequentiality and NHTSA has granted GM until August 2017 to complete its investigation and to submit all data supporting the petition. If the petition is denied, GM will conduct a recall of the airbag inflators covered by takata's defect information report.
