— Seven model year 2020 Toyota Supra owners may have their cars replaced for free after BMW announced the driver-side seat belt guide loop may not have been properly welded.
BMW is involved in the Supra because Toyota and BMW partnered on the 2020 car.
BMW says a supplier used faulty parts for the seat belt mount welding tool. The automaker says the mount may become damaged in a crash and fail to restrain the driver.
The Supra cars will be inspected and if a defective seat belt guide loop mount is found, the vehicle will be replaced.
Supra owners may call Toyota at 888-270-9371 and ask for information about recall number K0R.
