— Mercedes-Benz is recalling eight model year 2018-2019 GLA-250 and GLA250 4Matic vehicles because of carpet problems on the rear seatbacks.
The automaker says the wrong carpet was installed on the rear seatbacks and may cover the center child seat anchorage tethers.
A child seat won't be secured if the upper anchorage point is blocked by carpet, a problem Mercedes dealers will fix by replacing the rear seatback covering carpet.
The recall is expected to begin April 26, 2019, but owners may call the automaker at 800-367-6372 and refer to recall number 2019030003.
