— Model year 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE350 4Matic and GLE450 4Matic SUVs are recalled for the second time in less than a month, with this recall ordered for nearly 1,500 vehicles with owner's manual problems.
Mercedes says the manuals don't include information about third-row head restraint adjustments.
Federal safety standards mandate head restraint instructions must be provided to vehicle owners so the restraints can be properly adjusted.
Mercedes says changes made to manufacturing of the third-row seats caused the owner's manual problem, but occupants may be lost on how to properly adjust the head restraints due to their ergonomic design.
The GLE recall is expected to begin November 8, 2019, when dealers will provide booklets with the necessary head restraint information.
Owners may contact Mercedes-Benz customer service at 800-367-6372.
The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE350 4Matic and GLE450 4Matic SUVs were recalled about four weeks ago because the cabins could get wet from water leaking from the air conditioning drain hoses.
