— Mercedes-Benz is recalling 675 vehicles in yet another recall related to software, in this case electronic stability control software that can block the parking brake from being disengaged.
And in another troubling pattern seen so far this year with various automakers, all the recalled vehicles are new 2019 models:
- 2019 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG
- 2019 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG Cabrio
- 2019 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG 4Matic Coupe
- 2019 Mercedes-Benz C300 4Matic
- 2019 Mercedes-Benz C300 4Matic Coupe
- 2019 Mercedes-Benz C300 Coupe
- 2019 Mercedes-Benz C300 Cabrio
- 2019 Mercedes-Benz C300 4Matic Cabrio
- 2019 Mercedes-Benz C300
The automaker says the electronic parking brake can be blocked from disengaging unless the electronic stability control system is deactivated, a problem dealers say they can fix by updating the stability control software.
Mercedes owners should have received recall notices by now, but customers with questions should call 800-367-6372 and refer to recall number 2018120025.
