— General Motors is recalling 341 model year 2019-2020 Buick Regal cars that may have driver or passenger front seat frames that may have lower crossbars that weren't welded properly.
Bad welds on a seat may not prevent the seat from detaching in the event of a crash.
GM doesn't know when the recall will begin, but Buick Regal owners will receive interim recall notices after November 26, 2019, then the automaker will mail second notices when replacement parts are available.
Buick dealerships will inspect the crossbar welds on the front seats and possibly replace the seatback frames.
Buick owners with questions should call 800-521-7300 and use Regal recall number N192278300.
