— Hyundai is recalling 86 Elantra GT cars because the sunroofs could fail to detect obstacles when the sunroofs are closing.
The 2018 Hyundai Elantra GTs have panoramic sunroof motors that were incorrectly programmed.
The system won't detect if a finger, head or other objects are in the way of the closing glass and won't immediately retract.
Hyundai says the Elantra GT recall is expected to begin February 15, 2019. Dealerships will replace any affected panoramic sunroofs.
Elantra owners with questions should call Hyundai at 855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 179.
