— Honda is recalling more than 400 Ridgeline and Pilot vehicles because the side curtain airbags may not deploy correctly in a crash.
The 2019 Honda Ridgelines and Honda Pilots have mounting holes for clips that secure the right center B-pillar trim panels. But the panels, located behind the passenger-side front doors, may have mounting holes too big to ensure the clips hold the center B-pillar trim panels in position.
Honda says the side curtain airbags may not deploy properly if the panels interfere with the curtain airbags.
Honda dealers will install brackets on the right center pillars that will allegedly hold the center pillar trim clips.
The Ridgeline and Pilot recall is expected to begin January 25, 2019, but owners with questions should call 888-234-2138. Honda's recall number is D3D.
