— General Motors is recalling 12 model year 2019 Buick Encore, Chevrolet Spark, Traverse and Trax vehicles because the airbags may not deploy.
GM says the sensing diagnostic modules have "manufacturing mode" settings that weren't turned off before the vehicles were sold. No sensors, no airbags.
The 12 owners should have been notified by now informing them that dealers will reprogram the modules to the correct modes.
GM's recall number is 18365.
Buick owners may call 800-521-7300 and Chevrolet customers may call 800-222-1020.
