— Fiat Chrysler is recalling 14 model year 2019 Jeep Cherokees that are missing valve stem keepers that can allow the valves to drop into the engine cylinders.
This will cause damage to the 2-liter engines, but the automaker also says the engines may have reversed camshaft caps that will damage the camshaft bearings and cause complete camshaft failures.
Chrysler says the 2019 Jeep Cherokee recall will begin July 14, 2018.
Jeep dealers will repair or replace the affected engine components, but owners with questions may call 800-853-1403.
Chrysler's recall number is U52.
