— Nissan is recalling 196 model year 2014 Nissan LEAF electric cars that could shut down without turning off the ignition. Nissan says the LEAF has a problem with the motor control circuit board that has an inverter that could fail.
The affected cars were manufactured April 15, 2014, through April 24, 2014.
The recall should begin on July 7, 2014. Nissan dealers will repair the LEAF by replacing the inverter, but concerned owners can call Nissan now at 800-647-7261.
