Subaru Recalls OutBack and Legacy For 7th Time This Year
Entire transmission will be replaced in Outback, Legacy, and Tribeca vehicles.

— For the seventh time this year, Subaru is recalling their Outback and Legacy models.  This recall doesn't affect a lot of vehicles, but still, seven recalls in eight months?

Subaru says 202 model year 2014 Legacy and Outback and 2013 Tribeca vehicles have to be fixed because of transmission problems.

The affected vehicles were manufactured June 12, 2013, through June 28, 2013 and are equipped with automatic transmissions.

The problem can occur when the parking rod inside the transmission comes loose.  If that happens, the vehicle could roll away even if in the "Park" position.  Additionally, the transmission may not be able to be moved from the "Park" position preventing the vehicle from being driven or moved.

The recall should begin by the end of August, 2013.  Subaru dealers will replace the entire transmission.

To find out how long that might take your dealer, contact Subaru at 800-782-2783 and give them recall number WQJ-46.
