— Nissan is recalling 392 model year 2013 Sentra vehicles because gas could leak from your tank when the tank is full. Nissan said the Mexico fuel tank supplier failed to seal the tanks properly.
The affected vehicles were manufactured from September 11, 2012, through October 4, 2012.
According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Nissan discovered the problem after warranty claims were submitted concerning leaking gas tanks. At one point, Nissan collected 20 tanks from dealers and found 12 that were not properly sealed.
The recall is expected to begin March 18, 2013. Nissan dealers will replace the fuel tanks as necessary.
