— Nissan is recalling over 151,000 vehicles because of problems with the antilock brake software. The recalled cars include the 2013-2014 Nissan Pathfinder, 2013 Infiniti JX35, and the 2014 Infiniti QX60.
Nissan discovered the problem in 2013 and found that driving on rough or uneven roads seemed to be the key. Technicians said the antilock brake system (ABS) pressure output software setting could cause stopping distances longer than expected when the ABS was activated.
The 2013-2014 Pathfinder vehicles were manufactured April 18, 2012, through September 20, 2013; the 2013 Infiniti JX35 cars were manufactured September 15, 2011, through January 16, 2013; and the model year 2014 Infiniti QX60 vehicles were manufactured January 17, 2013, through September 20, 2013.
Nissan hasn't provided a schedule of when the recall will begin. Once owners are notified, dealers will reprogram the ABS.
