— Honda is recalling 43,782 model year 2012-2013 Honda Fit Sport vehicles because of problems with the electronic stability control system. The strange thing about the problem is it seems to occur only with certain types of tires.
Honda says the affected vehicles may allow excessive yaw rates at high steering angles, which is something that can prevent the electronic stability control system from working properly.
The recalled vehicles were manufactured May 23, 2011, through March 22, 2013.
Honda dealers will update the electronic stability control software once the recall has started, which should be on May 17, 2013.
Honda Fit Sport owners can call 800-999-1009 and refer to recall number S99.
