— Just one day after Chrysler recalled over 30,000 trucks for turn signal problems, they have announced a recall of 1,253 model year 2013 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks because of headlight problems.
Chrysler says the affected trucks were manufactured January 7, 2013, through February 28, 2013, and equipped with optional premium headlamps.
Based on documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the headlamp shutters can malfunction when the lights are on high-beam. Just as with the turn signal recall from yesterday, this violates federal safety standard number 108.
The recall should begin in July, 2013. Dealers will fix the issue by reprogramming the central body controller, but Chrysler didn't say how long your wait will be while that's done.
