— Chrysler is recalling over 4,000 model year 2013 Dodge Challenger vehicles equipped with a V6 engine. The recalled vehicles were manufactured from December 3, 2012, through January 24, 2013.
Chrysler said an electrical short between the starter electrical terminal and the starter solenoid can cause a fire.
Challenger owners should stop driving their vehicles and immediately contact a dealer.
Chrysler is warning owners to park their Challenger away from anything that could catch fire while the car is parked.
Owners who have paid to have the problem fixed can be reimbursed for the expense as long as they have proof of the repair payment.
Owner notification letters should have been mailed by now, but owners can contact Chrysler at 800-247-9753 and refer to recall number N18.
