— General Motors is recalling certain 2010-2012 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon vehicles because the hood may be missing the secondary hood latch. That means the hood could fly open if the primary latch fails.
The problem vehicles were manufactured from November 9, 2009, through August 28, 2012. The recall is expected to start on January 17, 2013.
GM will notify owners and ask them to check if their vehicle has the secondary latch. If the latch is missing, a dealer will replace the hood.
