Hyundai Santa Fe Brakes Defect — Class Action Lawsuit
Class Action Lawsuit filed by Kantrowitz Goldhamer & Graifman, P.C.
2006-2012 Hyundai Santa Fe Braking System Defect Class Action — NY owners.
The law firm of Kantrowitz Goldhamer & Graifman currently has a class action lawsuit pending that involves alleged defects in the rear brakes of Hyundai Santa Fe vehicles, model years 2006-2012.
The suit alleges that the brakes cannot withstand normal salt and deicing, and prematurely corrode upon coming into contact with normal weather conditions during the warranty.
Hyundai has refused to cover replacement of brake parts such as rotors, spring clips and calipers during the basic warranty (60 months/60,000 miles) even though they are not excluded or otherwise limited by the warranty language.
Some owners/lessees have reported a grinding noise or vibration upon applying the brakes as early as 23,000 miles requiring replacement of the rotors and pads. Others have noticed excessive corrosion and sticking or freezing of parts due to that corrosion.
As part of our on-going investigation, we are looking for qualifying vehicle owners who reside in New York. To speak with us, please contact us by filling out the form to the right.
