TRW Crash Sensor Defect — Airbag Module Investigation
Gibbs Law Group LLP
Attorneys with Gibbs Law Group LLP are investigating a TRW airbag module class action lawsuit after federal investigators expanded their investigation of a potential defect in airbag control units (ACUs) manufactured by TRW.
The airbag control module acts as a crash sensor, controlling whether the airbags will deploy and whether seatbelt pretensioners will engage. Airbag control modules made by TRW have reportedly been installed in 12.3 million vehicles of various makes and models.
Reports suggest that failures in TRW crash sensors are implicated in at least eight traffic fatalities.
