At the posted speed of 70mph with 1/3rd of a tank of gas showing in gauge, the dash displayed "Reduced Engine Performance" and the car gas engine shut off and the electronic engine seemed to turn on "engine brake" (a hybrid feature that charges the battery while using the gas engine as an enhanced brake used when going down steep hills) I was able to get the car to the shoulder of the road before it locked up. Once the car lost all forward momentum the electronic brakes engaged and the car refused to restart or operate as normal. The windows did roll down which last time they would not, but turning the knob (keyless starter) to "start" did not produce the normal graphics on the dash. This behavior was just like it was in March and a few days earlier in July.
