The type of tires Volvo is putting on the XC90 is too soft leading to premature tire failure. Volvo replaced the tires with the same type/brand and the tires have again worn. I have had two sets of tires with in 35,000 miles. Researching the web has confirmed this is a problem vovlo XC90 wide.

: the contact stated while routine maintenance at 15,000 miles was performed, it was determined all four tires were 60% worn, and should be replaced. These are pirelli scorpion tires. Updated 10/25/2006 -
