I see this as inexcusable failure that should never happen with normal highway driving. I have been told by mechanics this happens a lot on the Volvo XC70 and thankfully I wasn't driving fast when the coil spring broke completely in half. Knowing this I think Volvo should be made to replace these ASAP!
